Thank you so much for taking photographs for Find a Grave for people like me who cannot.
Since you indicate that this photograph is copyrighted, do you mind displaying the copyright number of his photo on his memorial so I will have it? It is illegal to reprint, in any form, copyrighted material without that number.
Find a Grave's official policy on copying and using photographs posted on their website is governed by the topic, "I found a photo of a relative on Find A Grave, can I use it?" Their answer to that question is: "Submitting a photo to Find A Grave grants Find A Grave a license to host the photo and facilitate the sharing of that photo across the Ancestry Community, so that Find A Grave users can post that photo to other Ancestry Community websites." It goes on to say that photographs cannot be shared outside those guidelines.
However, since you have copyrighted my cousin's headstone photo, I'm afraid to use it without that number. That photo will be passed along to other Ancestry.com users if I upload it to my family tree. I and anyone who copies it would be in violation of copyright law if we reproduced the image without that number.
The gift you give may not seem like much, but it really is. You are very generous to share your work and your time, and I thank you very much.

Thank you so much for the quick response on the photo. His death certificate said removal to Clovis, New Mexico.
But I didn't think the US Veteran's Affairs had it wrong.

Thank you for leaving a token for my dad who went to be with Jesus on Monday. I think the two of you would have gotten along really well! He tried to find humor in most things and was a practical joker. Blessings,Susan
