Banbury again.
Thank you!

Here is one correction to what is in Find a grave:
William Augustus BANBURY. Born: 1858, Mt. Vernon, Knox, Ohio, USA. Died: 30 Sep 1913, Pasadena, Los Angeles, California, USA. Find A Grave Memorial# 174340821

--- updated
----------------
Father: Samuel J. BANBURY, Mother: Mary Dustan WEEKS.

---- memorials not found
----------------
Spouse: Mary Ann “Maude Eseley” EVELY, Born: Abt 1860, East Whitby, Durham, Ontario, Canada.
Died: 11 Jan 1912, Pasadena, Los Angeles, California, USA. Find A Grave Memorial# 174340815.
--- updated
--------------------
Married: 3 Aug 1881, Ontario, Canada. Parents: John & Hannah EVELY.
------------------
California Death Index: Mary Ann (Weeks?) BANBURY, d 12 Jun 1912, Pasadena, Los Angeles, California, United States. CA file # 55485. Was 94 years of age at death [ca birth 1818]

---- updated. I don't know where the Weeks came from, nor do I know anything about Early? 174340815

I believe the above is for a different Mary Ann Banbury who has not yet been memorialized. At least I don't see her. Do you?

This is the information on which Mary Ann "Maude's"s memorial is based. It comes from the cemetery records:

LastName Banbury
FirstName Mary
MiddleName
DOD 1/11/1912
Location ASPEN
Descr1 Lot
Segment1 01065
Row/Grave/Space Grave
Number 00008

However William Augustus, before moving to Pasadena, was either in Ohio or Whitby, Ontario and married in Ontario in 1881. Mary Ann Evely (not Early !!) was the daughter of John Evely and Hannah and she was the Mary Ann (Weeks sic !!!) Banbury who died in Pasadena on the 11th January, 1912. and Loren Banbury witnessed his wedding and was of East Whitby. Probably the sons carried on working on their father's farm before all moving to Pasadena.

I'm not finding the second Mary Ann Banbury to which you refer.

----------------

Children: Percival Loren Banbury, 1882 – 1971.

No memorial found.
---------------------------

Herbert Thomas Banbury, 1883 – 1959. Herbert is at Mt. View, Percival at Sacramento CA.

Herbert linked to parents, William and Mary Maude; insufficient information on Percival to be memorialized at this time.

When I pasted back your message, it was complete with my responses to the sections. In some cases, there was no person or persons on Find A Grave to whom to link, as far as I found.

Apparently, all of my responses were wiped out. I don't have a copy of it, as it wasn't saved and the power outage wiped it out.

All updates requested were made provided there was a memorial file to edit. I think only one edit was outstanding, and that request was made.

I apoligize for the messed up message. Your changes were made whenever possible.

RE: BANBURY - Pasadena CA
Not particularly. I worked pretty hard on finding the records for their memorials. I will, of course, transfer within FindaGrave's guidelines: Your siblings, children, grandchildren, parents, grandparents, great grandparents.

It's probable that the cemetery knows where they sent him, but I don't know how helpful they are to families and friends. Their online records are pretty good though.

RE: Nancy (Shreve) Bassett & Elmeda (Bassett) Wyant
Second try,
Hi, again,
I don't use Catherine as my first name anymore and I added my married name Klix. So, now I go by Rose Klix.
I am grateful for the photographs you sent me a few years ago. I believe they are all the ones you mention. It looks like your information is all the same as what I have. I'll double check when I have a bit more time. I think Joshua is buried in Wall, Pennington county, SD, but his headstone doesn't appear to be up on Find A Grave yet.
Thank you any way.

Hi, Smokey,
I noticed you listed with a remembrance to William Bassett. Do you know where Nancy (Shreve) Bassett is buried? Also do you know where Elmeda (Bassett) Wyant and her husband Joshua E Wyant are buried?
Thank you.

THOMAS BANBURY 1788-1873
In your notes on Thomas you quote the following
"Thomas Banbury was born at Launcells, Cornwall, England, emigrated to US in 1841.
1820-1850 Passenger and Immigration, New York:
Thos Banbury Arrival Date: Apr 18, 1843 Age: 48, Port of Arrival: New York, Port of Departure: Liverpool, Place of Origin: England Ship: Sheridan."

If he left England in 1841 and arrived in 1843 he must have been a slow swimmer!

The Thomas Banbury who came on the "Sheridan" was born 1790 and was married to Elizabeth Paynter and they settled in Ontario Canada and had six children.

The two Thomas's were cousins.
