My Name is Ronald A. Sykes, Sr, and have been working on my family History for over 40 years. |
Any additional information, adding bio's, changing .or adding names, dates and location can be done, without asking me, by hitting the edit button.
With the new system of FaG, I OK the links, and changes, without question. However, this also means, I may or may not have linked or corrected memorials.
I am more than happy to any correct a problem, or link family members. As far as Transfer goes, please look at the rules set down by Find a Grave, before asking. I will take a look on a case to case basis, but normally follow those rules. Demands from, or rude people are always ignored. If you would like credit for something added, either put it in the bio section, or let me know and I will add it for you.
I normally make all requests within 24 hours. If not, don't worry, I will get to it. Sometimes, I take a day off, too.
AGAIN. I follow the rules of Find A Grave dealing with Transfers. I will make an exception on a case to case bases. However, those who are rude, or feel they have some kind of right, need not request.
You My permission to use any of my Headstone photo, for your personal use.

Thank you for posting Doris Powell Atkinson. She was my Great Aunt. When I was growing up,I visited her, and her parents often. They lived in Baton Rouge, along with her parents Ellis and Bessie May Powell. Doris was married to R.G. (Bob) Atkinson and they had one daughter Candace (Candy) Atkinson, who is also buried in the same plot as Doris. Candy passed away after Lap Band Surgery. My Grandmother was Sally May Boone, who wasBessie Powell's sister.we lost track of Bob after the funeral. My name is Willard Chatham and my email is W.email@example.com

How many children did Nancy have besides my grandfather? I was told my great grandparents( Nancy and Trisvan disowened PJ when he married Rachael. During th depression they and the children moved cntinually across th south southwest and Calfornia working as farm laborers. Do you know if Minnie died young or if they were divorced? Im guessing during those times she may have died. On my fathers side, both of my great grandfathers died young and one i desenfed from his second wife after the first wife died in childbirth in th 1890s. Then he died of an accidental gun shot wound in 1902, leaving his oldest son an orphan at age7.
My mother says she only remembers meeting Nancy a few times growing up, and that my grandfather PJ grew up in the New Orleans area.

I am the grandaughter of P J Madden and Rachel Elizabeth Matney (one t). My mother is their dUghter Esther. They had a total of 10 children together besides PJ's son from his first marriage. I did not know until now what her name was. I do know his mothers name was Nancy Burt Madden but did not know PJ's fathers first name. Nancy's fathers name was Hiram Burt from Virginia. I know there is extensive information through these lines as my brother has found itin his searches of our family. PJ & Racheal had 4 daughters. Ruth, Esther Anna & Martha. There were several boys. Roy(Minnie's son),Elijah(Called Frank),Daniel,Samuel,Joseph who died in1955), Isaiah (called Dutch) and Micheal. As wespeak my mother is nearly 84 and is the only surviving of her siblings. I remember about when PJ died butwould have toaskmyom where he is buried
My granother is burief with her mother in Tacoma Washington. I am in Iowa where my fathers family are from
