Bio

I am an American history enthusiast especially mid-19th century when civil-war divided our country...my interests include speaking on occasion at "The Camp Chase Confederate Cemetery Memorial Annual Ceremony" every 2nd Sunday in June at 2900 Sullivant Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43204. Being a 5th cousin 4X removed of the cemetery's namesake, Treasury Secretary/Chief Justice Salmon P. Chase, I enjoy sharing my passion with civil war roundtables about cousin Salmon's life, and of course, the Camp Chase annual ceremonies. My proudest life accomplishment was wearing my country's uniform serving as a Viet-Nam Era U.S. Navy Veteran. I am very interested in my collateral relative connection to Benjamin H. Chase, Capt., Co. B, 22nd Va. Inf. Reg. KIA at the Battle of Lewisburg VA on May 23, 1862, and it is my honor to serve as a member of the SCV Camp 1535, Brigadier General Roswell Ripley, Worthington, Ohio.
