Bio and Links
Bio Photo I welcome corrections, updates, links, and additional information on my memorials.
Thanks to the photographers who go out in the cold and heat to get photographs of stones for us all. Findagrave couldn't exist without the 'boots on the ground' folks.

The lines I look for are Worsham and Moody on my mother's side, O'Quinn, Summers, Rentz and Kinard on my father's side.

I have added some grave photos. They aren't the best; please let me know if you have a better photo to post and I will gladly delete mine.

# 120334590 (Charlotte E Calhoun)

Regarding the memorial for Charlotte, I am not certain that she is buried at Elmwood Cemetery. Her obit says services and burial at Siloam Church, which would have been closer to home and family at the time. Other members here have requested a photo of her marker, and the volunteer says he has looked for her grave more than once and cannot find it. Do you have any information that might clarify placing her at Elmwood? Thanks in advance.

# 117446865 Furtick
Calhoun Times obituary, 09 Mar. 1922, relates John A. Furtick's burial in St. Matthews at the Congaree Baptist Church cemetery. Could you make the switch and then transfer management to me?
Thanks again for all your help.

I live in NH. If there is more of that family you would like to manage, just let me know. I am not about the numbers.

I have transferred her to you. I have no relations. If you see any others you would like to manage, just let me know.

Thanks for referring us to the Historical Society in St. Matthews. The staff there were most helpful and suggested Congaree Baptist since there was no evidence of his having been interred at West End. The death certificate simply denotes St. Matthews as the burial site. Thank you for work on his memorial for we wouldn't have found him at all without your initial efforts. We should wait until I can locate the article in the Calhoun newspaper before changing the cemetery, right?
Again, bless you for your diligence and the sense of pride and place you have brought to so many people.

Hello Anna,
The probable reason we've been unable to find and mark the John Anderson Furtick gravesite is because we've been looking for him in West End Cemetery in St. Matthews. According to Ancestry.Com, an article in the Calhoun Times describes his burial as in the Congaree Baptist Church Cemetery in St. Matthews. I've yet to get up to Columbia and find the article in their archives, but his burial in Congaree would make sense since his wife was buried there earlier.
The cemetery records there are not complete, but I'll work with them soon and see where we could place a Confederate stone. Thanks for any help,
Monty Chancey

I very much appreciate your effort. This is my maternal GGgrandmother, I live in the west no where close. She was married to Robert Rhett Harley. He and some of her kids are buried there. Her death Certificate reads that she is buried there. I have deleted the other entry at findagrave, Thank You. Joe.

RE: Re: Juanita Lehman at Valhalla Cemetery
If you change your mind Anna let me know. I live very close by. She might be buried there, but her headstone could be buried as well.
I'll remove the request and if you change your mind please add it again.

Thank you,
