In July of 2016 I stood in the Cramer King Cemetery in Somerset Co. Pa. in the middle of a field once owned by my ancestors. It was a defining moment in a journey in honor of my grandmother Katie Viola Grindle. It has become a passion.|
I had started this journey to find my Irish roots. I began my family history to find I was not so Irish, but Scottish, Swedish, German.
Thank you to all the Find A Grave folks who documented my family. It has been an incredible journey.
You will find some very wonderful, caring people working on Find A Grave. Some folks seem to treat this site as a competition, when it is meant as a means to find and memorialize our ancestors. People have dedicated hours and hours of their time walking cemeteries to do this and should be respected for their efforts. They usually do not know these folks so PLEASE be respectful. PLEASE respect the effort they have put into this site & be courteous.
If you feel there is an error or an addition please contact me. Edits & transfer requests sent to me need to have some kind of DOCUMENTATION submitted under suggestion portion of edit tab.
PLEASE Remember I would usually rather have no Death Certificates or copied obituarries on memorials I manage or post. These are memorials....
PLEASE remember please & thank you go a long way when communicating with others. A little kindness can change someone's whole day.

|Eleanor Gibson||Thank you|
Hi Thank you for your kind words. My daughter and I are careful to create memorials based on whatever documentation we can find. My ancestors Crow, Cunningham Sisson Coffield were based in West Virginia and I have made several trips there. Would like to go again, Sincerely, Eleanor Gibson
|Denien Semach||Thank you|
Love you and appreciate what you do!!!

I am so glad I saw your message on Find a Grave. Not only are the two girls you listed my father's sisters, but there is also a brother, Robert Leslie, 1930, and another sister, Sara Christine, 1931.
Robert lived for about 2 weeks. My father would have been 6 and remembers his brother that died. He has no memory of the 3 girls.
I have spoken to St. Gertrude's Cemetery office and asked if they could help me find where the babies are buried. I would like to visit them.
The woman in the office believes because they were so young they were probably buried in unmarked graves in the Potters Field type area of the cemetery.
She has promised to look into it for me and let me know if they are instead buried elsewhere in the cemetery.
Again, thank you for giving me a new information to view my family with.

I have not received any edits, nor does it appear that any edits were made to this memorial. Can you please explain what the edits were? If they have not yet been made, would you please send them directly to me so I can include? Thank you!
