Those we love don't go away ~ They walk beside us everyday ~ Unseen, unheard , But always near ~ Still loved, still missed and very dear *

"If no one grieves, no one will remember!"

"It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit." ~ Harry S Truman

Death comes once, but a cemetery is forever
-Phillip M. O'Shea

The quality, not the longevity, of one's life is what is important.

Please feel free to contact me about any graves I have listed. If I have listed someone that you are related to and I am not and you would like them transferred to you, please just let me know. If we are both related then I will have to think about it. Please feel free to use any of my photo's anywhere you want.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
(rev 21:4)

"Dear Ancestor
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and the date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who cares
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.

Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you."
-Poem by Walter Butler Palmer

A limb has fallen from the family tree.
I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me.
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song.
The good life I lived while I was strong.
Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you.
Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through.
My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest.
Remembering all, how I truly was blessed.
Continue traditions, no matter how small.
Go on with your life, don't worry about falls
I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin.
Until the day comes we're together again.

No other reference. I'll look at it again tonight. Since you're a relative, would be glad to send it to you. I'm trying to get rid of boxes of photos and would hate to throw it away. My grandmother kept a lot of stuff and knew a lot of people. I don't know if they were friends or if he was a friend of the family. Do you know if he ever lived in Oklahoma?

RE: Howard Glen
I personally didn't know him. Found the picture in my grandmother's scrapbook. Are you related? My grandmother was originally from SW Missouri and lived most of her life near Tulsa. Not sure where she knew him or how.
