Frank Smith in Owsley Cemetery
Good evening. I have a copy of the death certificate of one Frank P. Smith who is buried in the Owsley Union Cemetery in Goodman, MO. Frank P. was a son of Lucien F. Smith and, according to the death certificate, his mother's maiden name may have be "Stewart." Frank was born in Illinois about and died 9 March 1935. He was killed in Elkhorn Township, Macdonald County, MO as the result of a skull fracture suffered when he fell from a loaded farm wagon. According to her death certificate, his wife, Nancy "Nannie" Caroline (Proctor) Smith, is also interred in Oswsley Union Cemetery. She died 21 October 1956 in Lacon, MO.

I don't know for sure that "your" Frank Smith" is the same one whose death certificate is available, but it looks like a definite possibility.

Lola & Cora Gum
I am sorry I deleted Lola before I checked your information. They each had a husband named William.
Lola is buried there, also. It was not an errenous entry. Thanks, Betty

Lois Cline Vandzandt
Hello,

Hopefully you can help or direct me to someone who can. According to her death certificate, my ancestor, Lois Cline Vandzandt, (Vendzandt) is buried in the Cargile Cemetery. She passed at the age of seventeen on Jan 6, 1917 after childbirth. Is there anyone who can provide a photo of her headstone? Thank you so much!
Regards,
Deborah

RE: Age
I agree. The 1860 and 1870 census data is pretty consistent with 1834 as his birth year, but there is a hiccup in the 1880 data. Even the 1900 census, which reflects his age as 67, is still consistent with 1834.

I appreciate the timely follow-ups.
