I first discovered this site when I was researching descendants through one of the proven "royalty" lines. I was interested in finding where some of these individuals were buried and was hoping to visit England in the near future. |
My England trip has not panned out yet, but I did discover that I liked this site due to the fact that an individual could be personalized by adding photos, taking pictures of headstones, and adding bios. I felt this somehow draws you in closer to the person. I love the fact that you can leave notes also.
I have told everyone that I know about this site and I and some friends have been doing all we can to document some of our local cemeteries. We have completed our local cemeteries and have expanded into some of our surrounding communities. We have met some very nice people due to this project. We also post all of the local obits to FAG if the obit states which cemetery they are located in.
We also volunteered to put out flags on Memorial Day and Veteran's Day. It only takes a few hours, and, let's face it, some of these guys can use the help. They are always so grateful, and the ceremonies are always beautiful. I recently moved away from this area, so I can no longer help with this effort. This makes me sad....
I would also like to thank the volunteers who take time to take pictures of headstones for me at cemeteries that I will probably never get to see. Recently, I found where one of my fathers relatives was buried, and a volunteer took a picture of the grave. I do appreciate each and every one of you!
I encourage everyone to adopt a cemetery, scour the local papers for obits, and tell all their friends and neighbors about this site. Everyone benefits!
P.S. If anyone knows of a person who should be added to my virtual cemeteries, please let me know.

|Debbie Mormon||Dye and Buaas Families|
I have researched and found the missing daughter for the Thomas Marion Dye family. Can you please reunite her with her family??
I am her great-niece and the granddaughter of Lelia Dye Buaas, 87736951. I have a photo of the three girls, Lelia, Electa and Roxie posted on Electa's page 11667953. I cannot post her on Electa's page because apparently the keeper of the page is no longer around, but I did unite Electa with her husband, George Burgess.
Roxie was married to Allen Henry Fletcher, 1886-1946 (8457442)and they had four daughters. I would like to unite them, also.
There is also a brother, Boyd Dye, who is mentioned on Lelia and Electa's pages as well as the Dye-Shadoan relationship. I have also discovered there could be another son, Herbert Dye, (1901-1967) and is buried in Fresno but not listed in Find A Grave. I do have an early photo of him, however, but no one in the family ever talked about him. ????
Hello. Sorry for the question. If you look for the memorial for Kevin Wayne Kro, the first flower left you will see a very familiar name. Question. Is this you? Because Im trying to get in contact with her. Thank you.

Thank you, Diana, for bringing it to my attention that the wrong photo was posted on Frank Fabbri's memorial page. I have removed the incorrect photo.
Sorry it took me so long. I have been traveling and could not access he internet.

You might want to make a correction on this. He can't be the son of Andrew c. Evans and Sarah "sally" yadon Evans because he was born after they both died. I do think they did have a son Thomas who lived next to sister Elizabeth and her husband on the census. I would appreciate to have copy of any pictures you might have on family members. Thank you in advance.

Thank you very much for your help with answering my question. That was very nice of you!
Yes, That's a wonderful idea to post the photo of this old Kern County Abbey mausoleum onto Lena's memorial. Thank you for the idea and for asking!
Here's Lena's number:
