Born in Balmain, commenced school at Birchgrove Public School, Balmain, moved to Summer Hill and attended Summer Hill Public School, moved to Hurstville and attended Hurstville Primary School then to St. George Girls' High School, Kogarah and after marriage in 1964 went to live in the Sutherland Shire. After 55 years of living in the Shire I now live in the Lake Macquarie Area, New South Wales, Australia. I am a Mother of five, 3 sons (one son deceased, aged 3 years 8 months) and 2 daughters and a Grandmother of seven, 5 grandsons and 2 granddaughters and a G Grandmother of one G Grandson. I have been researching my family ancestry since 2008. The main surnames in my tree are Richardson, Land, Embelton/Embleton, Rostron, Ranson/Ransome, Brain and Crothers. I am particularly interested in preserving the memory of all our servicemen and servicewomen who fought to keep Australia free.
