Bio Photo About Me
Since I retired, I've found a bit of time to get back into genealogy. I think I've become addicted to FindaGrave. What a fabulous site! I enjoy setting up and maintaining memorials for my loved ones, as well as others. I also enjoy being a volunteer and taking pictures of headstones to upload! My husband has even joined in the fun!!

My photo shows what I love most -- visiting those little old almost forgotten cemeteries.

Making Requests
Please remember to use the EDIT button on memorial pages to offer suggestions, corrections, and even questions regarding specific memorials. Also please remember that no one is perfect -- we all make mistakes.

Scanned Items
Please do not add scanned items, including death certificates, in the photo area of memorials I manage. If there is information in the item you would like added, please submit it in a SAC and I will consider adding the info in the bio. Otherwise, please only upload grave/headstone photos and/or personal photos of the deceased.

Regarding Burials Unknown
According to Find a Grave guidelines (FAQs), creating a memorial as a Burial Unknown is to be used only for new burials, with the memorial to be edited/updated with the final disposition within 30 days.

Please do not request that I link to a Burial Unknown.

My Photos
Please feel free to use (for your personal non-commercial use) any headstone photos that I take and upload to FindaGrave memorials.

RE: Penticuff and Pritchett
Sintha A Pennycuff Pritchett was my wife's Grandmother's (Lelar Maria Pennycuff Hinds) sister.
That would make her my wife's great aunt. I don't really need the transfer, but thank you.

I checked my records, census records, and her death certificate, and apparently the date on her headstone is not correct. She was, in fact, born in 1895. Bonnie was my grandmother's sister in law.

Thank you for letting me know the dates on Bonnie's stone don't match what is on her memorial. The birthdate on the memorial matches the birthdate on her death certificate.

My great grandmother is Audi Lee Burgess(1903-1995) I have gone as far back as Jesse Emmerson Reed. I believe would be her great great grandfather. I saw you are connected to them. I would like to see what information you have and see how we connect.

RE: Branislaw Mazin
It's removed. Makes no sense since it won't be found via search that way.

Sorry, just saw you sent an edit for him to make the maiden name say unknown. He is my daughters great grandfather, the spelling of their name was changed when they came to the US. I usually add the spelling as maiden so that it is found on a search

RE: Burtrum Cemetery
I looked on Google Earth and the location I believe to be correct is 36*27'56.73" N 84*52'39.93" W. I did a screen capture but I do not see a way to include it here. My email is if you want me to send it to you. Jim Martin

RE: Burtrum Cemetery
The description on the link you sent is the best I can do as it has been 5 years since I was there. The one thing I can add is that access is off a private driveway and it is less than a 1/4 mile after you pass the turn off for Crockett cemetery as you travel NE. The fence running along the right side of the driveway has a bumpout around the graves and is no more than a few hundred feet off of Pickett Park.

RE: Oscar Ottendorf
The provider of this obituary to the Christian County Missouri GenWeb did not include the name and date of the newspaper which printed it. Wish they had.
Ottendorf, Oscar L. 24 Jun 1910 - Nov 1973 gwobit
[Note: Son of John & Sarah Jane “Jannie” (Lee) Ottendorf; married Vada]
Billings - Oscar L. Ottendorf, 63, of Route 1, Billings, was found dead at his barn Tuesday afternoon by his wife, Vada. He apparently died of a heart attack. Mr. Ottendorf was a member of the Church of the Nazarene at Union City. Survivors in addition to his wife, include one daughter, Mary Nell Ebert, Route 2, Billings, and a brother, Everett Ottendorf, Republic. Funeral arrangements, which are incomplete, are under direction of Cantrell of Clever.

Thank you so much for the correction. I sent a
message to KY Roots to delete the memorial at
Cartwright. Norris' Cemetery book gives the location of the grave as Locust Grove. Judy
