RE: Hendrix/Shurbert
Hi Dwight,

That is the same email address I sent the reply to.
Anyway here is my response.

Hello Dwight,

In reference to Ann Sherbert being the widow of W.W. Hendricks. Going by my research, she is the same person. William W. Hendrix was a casualty of the War. Anna has her minor Hendrix children, Mary and Charity, with her on the 1870 Census and is listed as Mother in Law in 1880 with her daughter Charity Hendrix Burnett. For some reason not know to me at present, the family decided to bury her beside W.W. Hendrix’s memorial stone at Abner Creek Cemetery in Spartanburg County and make no reference to her Sherbert marriage. I don’t think I have a copy of Aaron M. Sherbert’s will to Ann Hendrix if you have access or a link to it, I would appreciate it.

Best regards,

Bobby Hendrix

I didn't specify a cemetery on her Findagrave memorial because a volunteer who checked out the cemetery couldn't find any evidence of her having been buried there.

Thank you for listing Robert Wilson family. My ancestor is Wiley Wilson-his last son. I was told he was buried Grover Cem. Kings Mountain, NC. Looked for his grave but did not find it. Would appreciate any info on this family. Thank you again.

Maomie or Naomie
But...and there always seems to be that...Mary's death certificate is where the Maomie comes from.

RE: Elizabeth Lesley Simmons
I do believe Maomie should begin with an N although I don't have real proof. I base my feelings on the Dacusville 1850 census where we find this household.

Mary Simmons 1850 Female 20 White 1830 South Carolina
Neomy Simmons 1850 Female 55 White 1795 South Carolina
Sarah Simmons. 1850. Female. 17. White

If you find anything else, please let me know.
