RE: Thomas West Hammond
Here is the response from Shamrocks (FindAGrave contributor) who works at West Point:

Thomas West Hammond - He was interred here on September 4, 1936 and disinterred December 11, 1936 and transported by hearse to Arlington National Cemetery.

I have no record of Chester Hammond.

It appears Chester never married even though he was considered an eligible bachelor. There was no memorial article for Chester on the WPAOG website. However, the memorial on FindAGrave for his brother lists four children:
David C. at home
Nicholas C. at Princeton University
Thomas W. of Belfast, ME
Mrs. William T. Thorne of Saranac Lake

You can check with the library in Peterborough, New Hampshire where Chester Hammond died in 1989 and see if they have an obituary for him. There is also an insurance attorney in the District of Columbia named David C. Hammond. You can use a search engine to find his contact information. Perhaps he would know where his uncle is interred. The other alternative is to order the death certificate for Chester Hammond, but the state might have relationship requirements.

I do find it odd that he is not interred at ANC with his father, mother and brother. I checked their website as they now have the burial information on line, but he is not listed.
