"One person can make a difference, and everyone should try." John Fitzgerald Kennedy|
The best way to give back on this site is to go out to a local cemetery and fulfill some photo requests. If someone has fulfilled photo requests for you, maybe it's time to go do the same for someone else. It really is very rewarding for both you and the person for whom you take the photo.
The best way you can help the volunteer photographers is to post the burial plot of the grave markers you want photographed. Posting photo requests without a burial plot is like trying to get somewhere without directions. You might get there eventually, but it could have been a whole lot easier and taken much less time. The "Help with Find A Grave" file clearly states that the person requesting a photo is to provide the burial plot for the photographers.
Almost all memorials I create are not family members, and I am willing to transfer them to other members.
Do not use the photos I take anywhere else, including within Find A Grave, without permission. I retain the copyright to all of my photos.
2017: Fulfilled my 4,444th photo request on July 2, 2017.
2016: Fulfilled my 4,000th photo request on September 9, 2016. Discovered and photographed the burial books for St. Vincent Cemetery in LaSalle, Illinois.
2015: Fulfilled over 500 photo requests, most of which were at Forest Home Cemetery in Forest Park, Illinois, and cleared up 75% of the photo requests at the cemetery.
2014: Fulfilled over 2,222 photo requests with number 2,000 occurring on October 28, 2014. Multiple cemeteries with large backlogs of over 100 photo requests were cleaned up while completing this project.
2013: Added photos for all 433 persons buried in the Chicago Typographical Union Section of Elmwood Cemetery in River Grove, Illinois along with most of the veterans sections, the old age home, Civil War wives, and a large group of graves at the southern end of the cemetery.

Thank you for your generosity! I have made the source information as you described and put your photo in my family tree that at some point will appear at Ancestry.com. If you prefer, I can make the photo private before I post the tree and it won't show. I prefer to share the viewing as the photo is beautiful and well done but do believe that decision should be yours.
As you suggested I made a photo request that if your interested you might claim. I don't hold much hope however in this request ever being filled as the size of the cemetery looks to me to be quite large and with the cemetery people being what they are it looks to me it would be like "looking for a needle in a hay stack".
We are overdue in thanking you for fulfilling our photo request for the burial location of the Custer family. Your contributions to their memorials is appreciated.

When I created memorial # 18242760 for baby girl Wallick your cemetery photo appeared on the memorial. With your permission I would like to use your excellent photo in my personal family records. Also, if you would allow, I would like to be able to possibly share your photo with others stating the following source information;
"Forest Home Cemetery Photo Source;
Find A Grave,
Ace's photo comment; "This is the updated sign at the Des Plaines Street entrance for 2014. This is the first year that they have planted flowers and painted the sign"
Ace's Find A Grave Photo Usage Policy; "Do not use the photos I take anywhere else, including within Find A Grave, without permission. I retain the copyright to all of my photos."
researched by Ron Wallick;
16 August 2017."
Thank you for considering my requests and I look forward to hearing from you

Oh...makes more sense. Thanks!
|chvvictoria||RE: John Vincent|
Done! Thank you and thanks for the transfer
I saw your comment on one of the forest home request. The office provides burial books now? It's just in the office? That's really neat- I didn't know that. I haven't been at FH in awhile.
