I have always loved cemeteries ever since I was a little girl. Where ever I go I try to find a cemetery to visit. I guess all the people on this site feel the same way, that's why here I am not so unusual. |
If you have a problem or issue with one of my submissions please email me but have the decency to be nice about it .... sorry but I have gotten some nasty emails from people
PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT ME ABOUT Bruce Mayrock I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT HIM

|Madeleine Isenberg||Ludovit FELD. Kosice|
I created a special memorial site for JewishGen for the town of Kosice. Peter Absolon, who photographed all the tombstones in the cemetery, and added a photo of Mr. Feld. (16836247). (I translated most of the Hebrew names.)
With your permission, I am going to add some of the words of tribute that you have for Ludovit FELD, to that website along with his photo and the tombstone.
You will be able to see that there on the website,
http://kehilalinks.jewishgen.org/kosice/Kosice-Family.html, which should be ready shortly. Please let me know if you are comfortable with this or how you might want it modified.

Sorry about that, Helaine, but apparently the memorial in 2004 is older than yours (2007). Please delete yours. At the moment there are three of them for the same poet, and this is very confusing.

I was wondering if you still took pictures at Cedar Grove? I don't live in NY and any help would be appreciated.

|Volunteer #46577499||Hello -|
I just 'found' your page for FERDINAND CHEVAL (died August 19, 1924) at http://m.atchuup.com/le-palais-ideal/ ... and am so excited! and grateful, that someone has memorialized this incredible artist at Find A Grave!
Now? Hopefully? you can rewrite your page, to comply with Find A Grave "famous" person requirements? as this person is DEFINITELY FAMOUS . . . but, unfortunately? too 'hidden' in history! Apparently, wikipedia has expanded info, and perhaps their info can be your guide? I sure hope so . . .
Thank you for all you do at this website!

Thanks so very much for taking the beautiful photo of our great-great uncle's headstone! we just found him a couple of year's ago, and welcome the information there.

Fannie was Elias Wollerstein's first wife. Do you know what happened to her? I think they divorced in 1947 . Did she remarry? I am tracing the Davis family tree.

Thanks Helaine - then the baby isn't who I thought it might be - that baby would have been born in the 1930's or early 40's. Thanks for the information!

Helaine - on the photo you took at Mount Hebron cemetery it looks like there's a date on the tombstone. Do you know what that date is? It looks like April 22 is the day, but I can't quite make out the year. Thanks, Donna
