This is a poem that I stumbled upon (author unknown):
Always a silent hurt,
many a silent tear,
but always a beautiful memory
of one we loved so dear.
God gave us strength to bear it,
and courage to take the blow,
but what it meant to lose you
...no one will ever know.
I was born and raised in Norfolk, VA. I've lived in FL, NY, CA, WA, and OR.
I found Find A Grave by accident. It has become one of my favorite sites to visit. It has given me a place that I can remember my mother and my sister Sandy and honor their memory right from my desk. Thank you Find A Grave.

Strangers in the Box
By Pamela A. Harazim
Come, look with me inside this drawer,
In this box I've often seen,
At the pictures, black and white,
Faces proud, still, serene.
I wish I knew the people,
These strangers in the box,
Their names and all their memories
Are lost among my socks.
I wonder what their lives were like.
How did they spend their days?
What about their special times?
I'll never know their ways.
If only someone had taken time
To tell who, what, where, when,
These faces of my heritage
Would come to life again.
Could this become the fate
Of the pictures we take today?
The faces and the memories
Someday to be tossed away?
Make time to save your pictures,
Seize the opportunity when it knocks,
Or someday you and yours could be
The strangers in the box.
"If you could see your ancestors
All standing in a row,
There might be some of them, perhaps,
You wouldn't want to know.
But, here's another question, which
Requires another view,
If you could meet your ancestors,
Would they be proud of you?"

I just noticed that there was a second account for John W. Boyce, which you manage (I manage the John William Boyce account). Might you be willing to transfer the management of that account also, so we can get them combined?

I am writing to ask if you would transfer management of this account to me. Mattie was my great-grandmother and I already managed her husband, John William Boyce's Account.

My name is Diane. I am asking if you would transfer management of William Randolph Stimson, # 11708119. He is my Great Grandfather, on my Dad's side. He is buried in the same cemetery as his wife, kids and just last fall, my Dad, Randolph Arthur Stimson. I live in Spokane, same town where the cemetery is located.
Thank you so much.
This is the only way to say HELLO to PUPPA.
I hope for better weather. To life with death means to have a a rainy day.
I better write german.
Dankeschön Grüße Hgb

As an avid and meticulous family genealogist I have been bugged for some time about another Find A Grave site which lists Letitia McClanahan Martin and son John Martin as belonging to another William Martin. They have it that their William Martin was 1 year old when he fathered John. As an aid to other researchers I have created another Find A Grave for my William Martin in order to give the correct information. It does mean that I have duplicated your profile of him and I am sad about that. Would you consider, once you have read all the information I have included, transferring William Martin to me? He is a proven direct ancestor of mine. If you are reluctant to do this, would you consider adding my information to your site? Many thanks and my apologies for treading on your toes, Kingston64.
