Bio

Retired Genealogical Researcher. I have been doing Genealogical Research for the past 21 years now. I Retired as a professional Genealogical researcher some years ago, however, I truly will never retire from researching my family history. This type of research is never ending, and I love the thrill of the hunt, it's putting it together digitally and on paper that I don't care for yet try to maintain. I have it all sorted in my mind though, but that won't help anyone but me, until age takes away my memories.

One reason to maintain digital and hard copy trees, so that anyone in your family line can continue where you left off. Please cite all your research, because you never know the day that will come that you can't remember where you got a given photo or record from. I find citing photographs, documents and etc very important; it helps to give credit to those whose work you copied with permission, it also makes it possible for you to track living people that are your relatives that you can connect with, get to know and share your families oral stories with. It opens up new doors, and knocks down many barriers and walls in your research.
