I inherited the genealogy bug from my mother. I ran across F.A.G. while trying to find information on ancestors. I believe F.A.G. is a wonderful site to find missing family links.|
When photographing, I go row-by-row. I am not a greedy request-claimer who will go out, take a single pic, and run back to post it. From a genealogy perspective, I want to know if there are other family members in the cemetery that I may not already know of. Also, if someone has previously posted a pic of the headstone and I get a better one (I am using a HD camera), I will add mine as well.
If you would like me to transfer management of a memorial, please send me the request, and your relationship to that person. I try to transfer to family members if possible!
***** If you send me a message stating "this memorial is a dupe, please delete," please make sure the other memorial has at least as much information and pics as the one in my control. Otherwise it will remain as-is!!!
****If you would like me to add an obituary to a person, you MUST provide me with citation information!!!!!!!!

When I was in 1st grade at Westward, I had a teacher by that name. Do you have anyway of finding out anything about the person buried there? It's a stone like I've never seen before. If I had the lot number, etc. a cemetery worker could look it up in their records.
Just an idea, Patsy

You posted a picture of a grave in in Fairbury Cemetery of a Susan L. Evans. I believe that you might have read the gravestone incorrectly. Could this be Susan T. Evans? I am tracing my family and a family member Susan T. married Isaac B. Evans and moved to Nebraska. If you look closely the gravestone may be a T followed by a period.

I am writing a two-volume book on the 8th Indiana. I would like to include photos of the soldiers and their headstones with their biographies. I would like to use some of your photos in the book and will give you credit in the caption for each photo. If you are interested, I can let you know when the book is published. If it is ok to use your photos, could you also give me your first and last name for the captions?

I am a Vermont Civil War buff, and am working on a project to identify the last resting place of many of our "old soldiers" that had ties to Vt. Elbert Mason is one such soldier. I am asking you if I may use the photo that you contributed to his Find A Grave memorial, to post on the Vt. C.W. site? (www.vermontcivilwar.org)
You would receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.

I noticed that you are currently managing my great great grandmother's memorial: Martha Ann Nelson #59529212.
I have quite a bit of information I would like to add. Could you please transfer her memorial to me?

Going through all the old things on my email I came across a notation on Frank and FLorence Justice buried in the Fairbury, KS Cemetery.
The information on Florence's memorial , ie siblings, should be on Frank's memorial page! I can only correct so much as a contributor but would appreciate it if you could correct the information or I would happy to have both memorials transferred to me
Thanks SO Much

I am seeking information about Mary Louise (Traeger) Vieth (1852-1937, wife of Frederick A. Vieth. I believe she may be the daughter of Carl Gotthlieb Traeger and Johanna Christina (Drinsch)Traeger, as well as a sister to Carl August (1843-1913), John F. August (1845-1934), and Ernst H. Traeger (1846-1923). All these Traeger's were born in Germany. If you have any information on this family, I would appreciate hearing from you. Thank you for your help. --Rosemary Trager Matthews
