I am researching the following families:|
ILGEN, FURST, PICK, STAHL, LYONS, HEAPS, WERTZ, (these main family lines listed are located primarily in central Pennsylvania & northern Illinois), EMORE (Berks Co., PA) NICO, D'ONOFRIO
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled in -
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who pass
Though it's too late to mourn.
Could you have known that I'd exist?
You died ere I was born.
I wonder as you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot
And come and visit you.

Hi! I noticed you posted the photo of Ervin Moore and a few others in St Clair. Did you happen to find or post a photo of Alexandria Moore? She was married to Ervin. Her maiden name was Daly. She was born in 1873. I am having trouble locating any information about her after 1910. There's a few pieces out there but I am not 100% confident it is her. Her family (mothers side) is from the St Bernards of St Clair. Thank you again!

Thank you very much for the help.
Not sure how I did that.

I visited the Cherry Grove Cemetery Russell Frank Hoffman of Three Springs, R.D. 1, died Thursday, April 30, 1959, at 2:40 p.m., at the Mont Alto Sanatorium at South Mountain. He had been a patient there for two years and six months.
He was born November 13, 1891, at Meadow Green, Clay Twp, a son of Conrad and Anna (Shope) Hoffman. He was married to Emma Gladfelter of Clay Twp.
His wife survives along with the following children: Fred Hoffman, Hustontown; Mrs. Royer (Ethel) McNeal, Lewistown; Harvey Hoffman, Warriors Mark; and Cloyd and Lloyd, both at Three Springs. There are ten grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother, Harrace Hoffman of Cherry Grove and two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Detwiler of Hill Valley and Golda Booher of Mill Creek.
Mr. Hoffman was a Protestant by faith and had been employed by the Three Springs Stone Quarry for 15 years and then had followed the occupation of farming at Three Springs.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 3, at 2 p.m, from the Ott Funeral Home, Orbisonia. The Rev. Charles Rhodes, pastor of the Three Springs EUB Church, will officiate. Interment will be made in the Cherry Grove Cemetery at Three Springs. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon on Saturday until the time for the services on Sunday.and the date is 1959 not 1950 - obituary attached:

I just came back from PA but didn't go to Cherry Grove Cemetery but, if I can remember, I will check it out the next time I go back to visit (once a year). Hopefully, we can determine if the DOD is 1950 or 1959. Thanks!

If you call Elmwood Cemetery and Mausoleum at 708- 453-0273 and:
1. Ask if your photo request person has a headstone / grave marker.
2. If there is a headstone / grave marker ask for the section, block, lot and grave number.
3. If you send that information to me, Susan (#48964989) I will go there and fulfill your photo request. Of course any other Find A Grave volunteer can also fulfill your request if you then add the headstone location information to your photo request page.
