There is much confusion, apparently due to news articles at the time, as to the given name of this gentleman. The 1870 1880 and 1900 federal censuses list his name as "Willis" ... several researchers on Ancestry.com list it as "Willis" as well. He is honored at the South Carolina Law Enforcement Officers Hall of Fame in Columbia, SC as "Willis". I recommend changing the name on his listing and have entered an edit request to that effect.

Would you happen to have an obituary for Mr. Cunningham. We believe he is the Freddie Cunningham who was born in Manorville (Armstrong County) Pa and became a very famous high wire artist at age 13. Our Historical Society has been searching for him for some time and have pictures of him performing but would like to confirm his DOD and place of internment. Thank you for any help you can provide.

Her monument has a long inscription on the reverse side. It was impossible to read. I believe it starts, "Dear children...",but the rest is covered with an orange growth.
Does anyone have the inscription who can share it with me?
Unfortunately, her husband's monument has toppled from its base and is lying on it's side.
