RE: Ruble family
Patty, I have been searching far and wide for the Ruble's. I am hitting a brick wall with lydia. I cannot seem to find anything on her. I have found that Henry and Eldorena have different birth dates. Once the edits go thru then I take another look and see. My best guess for Rucy is that she is buried at either Venice or Miami Chapel (where most of the children are buried).

About Henry Beecher, I will make a phone call or I will stop by the Hamilton Police Dept and will get his badge number for you. If you have a library card for the Lane Public Library, there are A TON of articles pertaining to him and his outstanding career as a police officer/detective and articles pertaining to his boxing career also. I must say, he was quite the hero back in the day !!! He was shot at, stabbed at, and was a highly regarded officer. I have enjoyed reading every article I found on him. Most of the articles refer to him as Beech or Beecher Ruble.

Also, I have had help in locating some of this family with the help of Alison H. (on my friend list) She is very resourceful and she is a friend of mine and is a City of Hamilton Engineer. I could not have connected them with out her help. I will continue to re-check my info while searching to make sure I have no errors. If you should happen to find an error, I will correct it asap. I will keep in touch, Amy

RE: Eastern State Hospital
Eastern State Hospital still exists in Lexington. I imagine they just don't have the staff and time to answer. I have found relatives via the Kentucky Death Records, where they will state the place of death, and, sometimes, burial. There was a huge project to remember those mostly unknowns buried on Eastern State grounds. You will find more about that on the Findagrave site for the grounds, and internet searches. There are also old books scanned and published online by Google. There can be good information found there also.

I TRIED - COVERED ALL OF SECTION 1. IF IT IS THERE, I COULDN'T FIND IT. THERE ARE MANY GRAVES WITHOUT MARKERS - MAYBE MORE THAN MARKED. A YOUNG WOMAN ALONE MIGHT NEVER HAVE HAD A MARKER, PERHAPS ONLY ONE OF WOOD. EVEN A SOAPSTONE MARKER WOULD BE UNREADABLE AFTER THIS LONG.

RE: Elizabeth Blount, Tailboys, Clinton
To find the information for merging memorials, go to Frequently Ask Questions under the Contributors Tool on the upper left, between Logged in as and Log Out. Scroll down to Searching for Information. It's the last item in that section.

Did you look at the memorial for her son, Gilbert? He was, shall we say, a protegee of Cardinal Wolsey. When Henry VIII's mistress, Elizabeth "Bessie" Blount reported that she was pregnant with Henry's child, Wolsey had her taken away from court for most of her time before the birth. When she delivered a son, the people started to say, "Blessie Bessie Blount". Henry had many sons but this was the first one that looked like he might survive. Henry named him Henry Fitzroy, a play on words. "Fitz" is a prefix for "From" or "Son of" in Scotland. "Roy" means "The King" So, his surname, literally, means, "Son of the King"

Wolsey had his protegee marry Bessie to give her a decent marriage. He had Henry VIII create Gilbert, the 1st Baron Tailboys. All three of Gilbert's children by Bessie were married but none produced offspring. The title went from his first son, to his second son and finally to his daughter, Elizabeth. When she died, her husband tried to assume the title but since he had no children by her, the title died with her.

Thought you might find this of some interest.

Bernard Brink Photo request
I just fulfilled your photo request for Bernard Brink 1853-1917 in St. Mary's Cemetery in Ft.Mitchell, KY. Also in the same lot right next to him was Anna Brink 1857-1920 and Mollie Brink 1882-1963. Anna had a memorial so I added her photo to it. Mollie did not have a memorial created, so if you create one for her I will add her photo to it. Let me know, Sue

RE: Peeled Oak Church Cem in Bath Co Ky
I couldn't find John but I did find Lillie. She died in Montgomery County of pulmonary tuberculosis and was buried in Union Cemetery. John signed her dc and indicated his address was Mt. Sterling, KY. I don't know if Union Cemetery is in Montgomery county or not. Btw, it appears her maiden name was Shropsher.

RE: Mary Schomer
Hi Patty
I am not positive of the cemetery for Mary Jane. BUT The Waltz and Lambert Families are all buried there. With heartbreak I have visited this cemetery there in NOTHING Much left there. Vandals have destroyed the cemetery and all most every stone. It makes me sick to go there.
In the 1870 Census she is living next to my Sylvester Lambert and family (her sister)
Have you visited the website by the Latter Day Saints. FamilySearch.org This is a free site and very useful for those looking for ancestors who lived in Ohio. You will need to register but that is OK it is FREE. If you don't register you can not see the really good stuff. Like the actual certificates of death from 1908 to 1952, Or the records of marriage. There is so much to see there.
Now there are a few tricks when searching there.
First I do a Search using only the surname and the county they lived in (using NO DATES) if there are to many then I do a search using the first name surname and put in the date of birth.
I continue to add more information each search. I have found if I give them to much search it gets all confused.
I have my tree on ancestry.com
