Regarding Lucy (Bridgham) McNamara. The find-a-grave page states her parents were Harold Bridgham and Ida Ella. Ruby was born in 1894. Harold and Ida were married in 1908. And "Cook County, Illinois, Marriages Index, 1871-1920," (www.ancestry.com) lists the marriage of Mrs. Ida Morgan and Harold Bridgham on Sep 10, 1908. This implies that she had been previously married to a man named Morgan. Her maiden name is still not known.
So it appears that Ruby is the daughter of Ida Ella Morgan (unknown maiden name) and Mr. Morgan, her first husband (first name unknown).
The 1920 census lists a divorced Ruby Bridgham living in Chillicothe with her mother Ida Bridgham. So either Harold adopted Ruby, or she used the surname "Bridgham" out of convenience.
Dear One Foot in the Grave -
I was a friend of John Melton.
I am hoping that somebody in your group knows Theresa Poshard. (see her page link below)
She is not answering her messages I've posted on her board, regarding a pioneer Chillicothe family, the Crutchfields. She owns several of their Find A Grave pages, and I sent Edits and messages asking her to link them up properly.
I hope Theresa is still actively maintaining her Find A Grave account...hoping somebody can help.
Thx so much
