Bio and Links
Bio Photo While I have always been fascinated by graveyards, my interest in genealogy started only a few years ago when I started researching my 2nd great grandfather, who died in the Civil War. During that research, I came across this site and my Grandfather Purcell was my first memorial here. Since then, I have found many of my ancestor's gravesites already listed and I have created many more. It's been a fascinating and educating journey.

Most of my father's relatives were of Irish/Scotch/English descent and from Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana, via Philadelphia, Long Island, and Baltimore. My mother's family was among the early Danish immigrants to the Stonington Peninsula in Delta County, Michigan.

Unfortunately, I am a fair distance from all those places and am unable to regularly visit the graves of my family. Find a Grave is the next best thing. I have found many helpful people here that share my interest in preserving our past.

The names I am actively researching are Petersen, Bonefeld, Hoi, Iversen, Allen, Armstrong, Atkinson, Purcell, Ferry, Pollock, Wood, Wiley, Coe and many others.

I will gladly transfer any memorial of persons to whom I am not related to anyone that is a relative. If I am related to a person and a requester is a closer relative, I will also be glad to make the transfer. Please make any transfer requests, corrections, or Family linkage requests via the Edit tab on the memorial.

Please feel free to use any of the photos I have posted. If you have a better photo of a gravestone or of a person than I have posted, please let me know and I will remove mine.

Please be aware that, while I am happy to post obituaries, I may remove the names of individuals that are still living before posting the obituary. Please do not post photo copies of obituaries to memorials. These should be transcribed and sent to the memorial owner for posting in the bio section.

Earle/Robb/Adams - Woodlawn
Hi Daniel,

I have the entire transcript of genealogy research for the Earle/Robb family members. Are you related? Let me know if interested, but I would have to send it snail mail. I want to enter information for each of the family members into their profiles on Find A Grave, but it is a project that will take a lot of time and waiting for me to do when I retire in a year or so. There is one grave open in this family plot at Woodlawn, and the Earle/Robb relative that will be interred there lives out of state. She is the granddaughter of Anna Earle Robb, in her eighties, and lives in CT or one of the eastern states. I communicated with her a few years ago when the original home of Anna Earle Robb and her husband on Porlier (a lot behind her parents' home) was demolished. My cousin is a builder and saved as much as he could from that home to re-use and re-purpose. A painting was found buried behind a bunch of staff in the attic. I spent a lot of time researching and was was able to determine the three people in the painting, the wife of a nephew to Anna Earle Robb and that woman's three children. I can send you pics and more information on that project as well, if you are interested. Oh, don't worry about the commas. I will fix that, and I will change Mr. Robb to Dr. Robb, as he was a physician. Mrs. Robb's first husband, last name Earle, died, and she then married Dr. Robb.

RE: Marie Oldenburg
Yes! Photo request for her husband was fulfilled, and that contributor created a memorial page for her, as well as adding headstone photos for other Oldenburg family too. Thank you for approving edits for all of them - headstones show Oldenburg instead of Oldenberg.

RE: Marie Oldenberg
Thank you for checking. Yes, I have requested a headstone photo for her husband with a note to check for one for Marie as well. Thanks again!

Fredricka A. Thiry is on the headstone with Edmund
D. Thiry - Find A Grave Memorial# 84213376 so I'm confused because I thought Elmer had been married but to C. Ella Ashmore - Find A Grave Memorial# 71846009.

Thanks very much for your fast response! I appreciate it. I'll keep you informed about the book. I'm hoping to have it published by March 1, but I'm not sure the cover illustration will be ready by then.

RE: Joseph Atkinson/Atkinsin
Hi Daniel,

I asked awhile ago if Atkinson were related to my grandmother Cora Scray (Rodaer). Here is something I found and can't figure it out yet,

Social Security Registration Joseph Lyle Atkinson JR B 3 20 1908 father Joseph Lyle Atkinson SR, mother maiden name Gertrude Wannisheimer.

I have saved the image of document and can send it to u.

What connects them is Gertrude Wineshimer I have married to Joseph Rodaer my great uncle and Cora's brother.

Cub Buck Photo
I've just finished writing a book about Johnny Blood, the great former Packer player, and it includes a chapter about the early history of the Packers. I'd like to use that picture of Howard "Cub" Buck, but I don't know what the copyright status is or how to get permission to use it.
Can you tell me where you got it, along with any info you may have about its background?
