Bio

I am happy to receive information or inquiries on those whose memorials I manage. Requests by relatives wishing that I add to or modify memorials are always welcome. Requests for transfer are welcome, but if I am a direct descendant to the person in question, I would like to keep them in my care.

Family branches I am interested in (along with all the related families):
Duncan families of 1800s Page and Boone counties of Iowa, and late 1800s of Phillips Kansas;
Dunham families of 1800s Nichols, Tioga, New York;
Fendersons of Maine, Lower tier NY state, and Iowa;
Finch families, prior to 1900s, all areas;
Hampton and
Harlan families of south Iowa, north Missouri;
Harris families of Boone County Iowa;
Housel families prior to 1900s, all areas;
Johnson families of Tolland, Connecticut, and Bradford, Pennsylvania;
Kelly families of Boone Iowa and into Kansas 1800s;
McNeil family of Owego, Ny and to Durango Colorado 1800s;
Overholt/Oberholtzer of Pennsylvania, into Ohio and Iowa;
Ray families of Boone County Iowa;
Sedore families of NY State, Ohio, and Iowa prior to 1900;
Stephenson and Thomas families of south Iowa; And the Thomas family living in and around Washington Court House, Ohio from perhaps before 1800 to 1831.
Wait families of Rhode Island, New York State, and Iowa, prior to 1900;
Webster families of Connecticut and Bradford, Pennsylvania;
Williams families of Louisa County, Iowa, and before 1900;
Wright families of 1800 and before Tioga, NY.

I do enjoy my privacy while I research and contribute.
Please leave a public message or use the EDIT on any memorial I have created to contact me. I will try to respond ASAP.

And a heart felt and honest Thank You to the good people of Find A Grave who respect genealogy with complete bios as well as accurate grave listings.

Let me know if I have missed adding you to my Friends list.

ABOUT THE CHRISTENSEN FAMILY ARCHIVES:
This is an unofficial archive of family papers, letters, a few books, and many photos (often these photos have no name associated with them). Quite often, the letters require some interpretation supported by other information, in order to correctly understand the information presented. Because of this, I am reluctant to share very much of the texts verbatim. Similarly, some of the photos have been mislabeled, so unless you know whose handwriting is on the photos, you may not be able to understand which label is correct and which label is not. With some of the oldest Finch and Wait family information, there is some question as to if we are looking at the original document, or a handwritten transcription (and I do suspect the latter of these options). So with the possibility of some of these documents being transcriptions, their source comes into question making it impossible to verify the quality of the information contained within the document without some other way to verify this information.
