I am a member and Director of Plymouth County Genealogists, Inc. (PCGI), and currently President of the Friends of Middleborough Cemeteries, Inc. (FoMC). I have researched my Family History and now really enjoy contributing to the knowledge of all people of the past. My non-family memorials focus on my town of Bridgewater, MA and the neighboring areas.|
POSTERITY: I publish photos and create memorials here for the benefit of present and future generations. If you want to publish my gravestone photos on any website that you contribute to (except FindaGrave, according to FAQ#142), include in the photo caption "used with the written permission of Chip5610 (#46997557) at FindaGrave" and keep a screen-print of this page for your records. Copyright laws require you to obtain permission to use a photograph, and conditionally - based on your integrity - you have it! Understand that merely attributing credit does not comply with the law.
Building a cemetery index: I invest a lot of time developing and maintaining the cemetery page listings for Southeastern Massachusetts (maps for Plymouth and Bristol and Norfolk counties) and several other counties in the state. I add new cemeteries and I remove "incorrect" cemeteries. I improve existing cemetery pages by adding cemetery photos and the GPS coordinates. To each cemetery description, I add the GR identifiers from the MA Vital Records books and the MACRIS identifier to each Massachusetts cemetery description. MACRIS identifiers are an important first step in protecting a Massachusetts cemetery. Knowing where a cemetery is located is the first step in preserving the cemetery and finding a grave.
Assistance: The structure of the site engenders collaboration. The "Suggest a Correction (SAC)" feature is great, so use it liberally! My e-mail was set-up specifically for FindaGrave matters, so feel free to send as many SACs as you want. This is a great hobby, and I will work with anyone, happily! My only request: Say 'Thank You'!

|pbarney||Confused about two people.|
Hello! I've got a curious question about one of your memorials.
87109973 is John Haskins, Jr. (1785-1851) from Taunton Bristol County, MA; Son of John & Charity Haskins.
59300206 is John Haskins (1759-1828) also from Taunton Bristol County, MA
It seems that the first person is the son of the second person.
However, the record for the dad says nothing about being married to Charity Haskins, nor having a child named John.
He's got two entirely different wives listed. Do you think that one record is a mistake and one is correct? Or do you think
that there were as many as three John Haskings from Taunton, Bristol County wandering around?
I ask because the son is my father's father's father's mother's father and I'm trying to piece everything together.
I'd love any insight you have!

Thanks so much for the great page for Ford and Dingley ancestors. Very nice photographs.
I am putting together a Holmes family Tree. I would like to know how you got information for your posts. In particular #344237027 which reads:
We have a letter that Ellen wrote around the time of Frederick's sickness. Bert was born less than a year after Frederick's death. Sadly a daughter was born 12/20/1873, died the next day 12/21 and Ellen's death was the following day -12/22. This left the young child Bert with his 31 year-old father, so Lorenzo and Bert returned to Lorenzo's parent's home on Conant St., Bridgewater.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Thank you so much for taking the time to get a photo of Pamela White's headstone! I don't know when I will ever be able to get there myself so it is very much appreciated.
Thank you again for these photos. Greatly appreciated.
