I first discovered this site in 2005. It had just recently opened up to 'Non-famous' graves, and like many others I saw the possibilities.
It has become a wonderful site, serving the needs of both gravers and genealogists (and, yes, I know it is primarily a grave registration site!).
I particularly pay tribute to the dedicated and hard-working volunteers who fill grave photo requests.

RE: Lone Pine Cemetery
You're very welcome. It was a pleasure working with you to resolve so many remaining "issues".

I heard from Patty. The other John Bancroft was a grandson of John B. Bancroft. You can read her message on my contributor page.

I've contacted the person who created Helen Jane Fenton Roger's memorial, but I haven't heard back yet. I'll let you know if I do.

Next time I'm near Lone Pine, I will stop by to see if I can find Mary J. Pierce near Mary F. Pierce.

Thanks again for all of your help!

RE: Unknowns at Lone Pine
Unknown 06 is near the James Russell family plot next to Ann Russell. I've added that information to the memorial and a wide photo. Thanks for the suggestion.

I added the last name of Cram to Jane's memorial. The footstone is just lying on top of the cement plot. I wasn't sure if it was original to the plot. If it's been there since 1972, that's good enough for me.

I think that Helen Jane Fenton Rogers may be in an unmarked grave or in another cemetery.

Keep up the great job! Your help is greatly appreciated.

Lone Pine
I did not find the markers for Mary J. Pierce or Helen Jane Fenton Rogers. Do you have any plot information for them on the 1972 transcription?

RE: Lone Pine
I decided that I would make memorials for the unknown photos that I have. You can see them under "Added in last 24 hours".

Based on your information from the 1972 transcription, I figured out that the memorial I originally created as Unknown 01 was the one described as "Name gone - died Jan. 3, 1854 aged 1 year & 9 months." I removed the memorial I created and added my photos to the existing one created by Find A Grave contributor, Jonelle.

If you want, you can look at the memorials I created today. I added my notes as to where they are located in the "plot" section. If you have any additional information for me, just send it through the edit key.

RE: Bibby and Bancroft gravestones
The wide shot on Baby, Eleanor, and Edith Bibby faces west. The wide shot on Francis Bibby faces east. The rows run from north to south (not east to west). Francis is in a different row than the other markers.

I think I see "EDITH" at the top of the marker that is lying on the ground. The marker that is broken off appears to to have an age of 59 yrs . . . at the bottom of the marker. I can send you the photos to see if your eyes are any better than mine.

Do you have the transcription done by Wayne and Alta Guyant on paper or as a computer file? If it's a file, I could give you my e-mail address and you could send it to me.

Some of the remaining markers I have have just initials or are blank. I saved them as "NP near XXXX". NP stands for "not posted". Ex: "NP near Nancy Rogers". I could send those to you as well.

I will contact Patty tomorrow to ask her about John Bancroft (excellent idea).

RE: Lone Pine Cemetery
I'm finished uploading my photos at Lone Pine Cemetery. I still have a few photos left of markers that are illegible, but I did my best.

Would you please look at the photos for Baby, Bibby, Edith Bibby, and Eleanor Blackburn Bibby? The markers are in such bad condition that the only way I could identify them was by your descriptions in the bio sections for each.

Read the caption on the wide shot and let me know what you think. Thanks for all your help!

RE: Lone Pine Cemetery
I was going to contact you after I finished processing all the photos I took on Friday and Saturday at Lone Pine Cemetery.

I've been reading the bios you have written as I add photos. That's where I learned about the tornado of 1903. I really have enjoyed the bios I've read so far and look forward to reading more as I finish adding photos. I've also enjoyed some of the old photos of your relatives that have been added.

You can check to see the memorials I've added by going to the Lone Pine Cemetery page. Click "View all interments" in the upper right. Change "All Names" in the upper right to "Added in the last 7 days". Then you can tell what's been added.

I've only added three memorials so far (two were fairly recent deaths). The only older one was for John Bancroft that I'm not really sure about. There are two markers for John Bancroft on the RICH family plot. They are next to each other and appear to me to be for two different people, but it might be for the same person. Do you know anything about the Bancrofts?

When I take photos at cemeteries, I like to take a wide shot if possible to include other family members. I usually create a caption for the photo saying who is in the photo. To see the caption, just double click on the photo. That will help you identify who is on the plot.

I hope to finish processing the rest of my photos I took within the next day or two.

Thanks for contacting me and processing all the update requests. If you have any other questions, please let me know.

Wrong Richrath husband for Lillie Charlotte Smith Richrath Faehrmann
The first husband of Lillie Charlotte Smith Faehrmann was not Julius J. Richrath, it was his brother Theodore Richrath. If you check census records for Brooklyn, NY you will see that Julius was always single. You will also see Lillie married to Theodore with a son named for his brother. The son was Julius J. Richrath 1890-1964.

Alexander Edwards 1620-1690
Can I ask what source you used to put down the information that Alexander was born in Wales? We can find no sources on that and have other sources that say he was born in London, England. Sure would like to get this resolved.
Thank you so much for your help.
