Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is Joyce Watson Carter and I live in Taylors, SC. My cousin, Elaine Lister, and I work together on our genealogy. Our research has led us to many cemeteries in upper S.C. and some in N.C. We try to get obituries and a picture of each person we put in Find A Grave. It takes a lot of our time, but we enjoy it. Names that we are interested in for our genealogical research are: Watson, Ward, Capps, Gilbert, Carter, Guest, Lister, Masters & Cassells.

Ward descendant
Good Evening Mrs. Carter,

I am a descendant of Annie and Theodore Ward of Central, SC through their daughter Louise. She was my great grandmother and just recently passed. She has no members of her immediate family left and a good deal of the family is scattered or "estranged." Not many have info, or the care to round up any. I notice that you posted a photo of Annie Ward's (nee Wilbanks) mother Mable Seigle Wilbanks who based on this info would have been my great grandmother, Louise's, grandmother. Although that would've made her 16 when Annie was born. Do you know if this is accurate? Do you have any other information? I do not know much about the Wards or the Wilbanks but would like to know more.

Thank you for your time

Buford Clyde McJunkin
I have the Mcjunkin line in my tree several places so I have been doing research. I have found that William Dyar McJunkin son of Daniel Dyar McJunkin and Millie Jane Cassell who married Mattie Sara Phillips had 10 children and I will focus on two of them. Sons # 8 and 10 had similar names. #8 was Bub E. and he was born 15 Oct 1912 and died 18 April 1999 all in Pickens, South Carolina. Bub married Annie Mae Cooper on 9 May 1961 in Greenville, S.C. (This can be found at Bub E is buried at Oolenoy Baptist Church Cemetery in Pickens. The 10th son is Buford Clyde McJunkin and he was born 11 Dec. 1920 and died 19 April 1999 and is buried at Hillcrest Memorial Park as you have noted in Findagrave. I believe the Obit that is copied to Buford's grave site belongs to Bub E. It is odd that these two brothers died one day of each other but that seems to be the case. Would you mind checking this out further to make sure my "belief" is accurate. If you find that to be so, perhaps you can correct this grave site. Thanks for your help.

Dexter Spartan Coggins
Hi there
I located the headstone for Dexter Coggins next to his wife Clara in Wood Memorial park however I also discovered there were duplicate memorials for Dexter. There is another memorial created by Find A Grave contributor Bobby Abner Creek Baptist Church.
Is it possible you could check with Mr. Hendrix and merge the two memorials?
