While doing research on my family tree I visit lots of cemeteries. By sharing this information I hope I can help someone else find who they are looking for.

I'm researching the surnames DOBSON, BURNS, ANDREWS, GILLEY, MOONEY, CAIN, SHEFFIELD and many more…….

If any of the dates, spelling or info I have posted is wrong please let me know so I can change it.

Hi Lyn: Was wondering if I might ask you two questions. Would you happen to know why Robert Cain and Edna would have named two sons the same given name. Neither Robert Buford Cain nor Robert Jr, passed away as infants, and I was just curious why they'd name two sons Robert. My 2nd question is, there's supposed to be a Marshall Daniel Cain born: 02 Aug 1926, I'm wondering if I have Marshall D. and Robert Marshall two sons and there's really only one ? Although, Robert Marshall Jr also has a completely different DOB 12 Oct 1928.

My Cain line is that of Louisa Cain who married George W. Stevers, out of the Pulaski County, IL branches.

OOPS! My mistake. When I went back to look at pictures we have, ours were taken at a different angle and indeed the structure is still there in the enclosed area. Sorry for the confusion and mistake. Nancy Kay Crook Stewart

When was this picture taken with the structure in the background of Liberty Cemetery in Red River Co., Texas? It is no longer there and I was just wondering what happened to it.

I am an archivist working with the Gaffney family papers. The information for the Saint Joseph cemetery states that Peter Gaffney died in 1870. His wife, Martha Killingsworth Gaffney, died in 1870. However, Peter Gaffney actually died in 1854, leaving her with a plantation to run and children to raise.

Walter Smith
I received your edit request to add Walter as a child to William Smith. I am not able to do that from my memorial. You should request parent links be added to the child instead of child links to the parent. I went ahead and requested parent links to Walter's memorial for you though. I assume Frances was the mother. If that's not correct let me know. Kelly

Hello, I'm wondering if you live in or close to Van Zandt Co., TX? And if so could you get a photo of the tombstone of Gladys Alexander, b. 1906 or 1909 & died. 1997. She is supposedly buried at Woodside Cem., Grand Saline & memorial is on Find A Grave. And who is buried beside her??? I hope to obtain an obit and end some confusion about several Gladys Porter's. Would appreciate any help you can recommend, - that is if you know someone else that might live closer or is doing Find A Grave work. Thank you for listening. Bobbye Varner
