Bio and Links
Bio Photo A friend referred me to Find A Grave and I am very impressed with it. I work on our family genealogy off and on, and so appreciate the help of volunteers at Find A Grave as I work on locating graves of relatives. My husband and I are glad to be able to assist others by taking photos in the Ocala area when they are requested and when we are able. When we travel, we sometimes stop at cemeteries around the country and take photos in hopes that we can add more information and photos to Find A Grave. We have been able to fulfill a few requests already and added new memorials for others.

My husband, Bill, is a fourth generation native Floridian and I am a transplant from Kansas, though I've been in Florida since 1959.

Hi- I just found your memorial. I had one before the burial location was known. Now there are so many links I hate to just delete the memorial. So I give management to you. Thanks for posting the photo! Best wishes- Sheryl

Find A Grave Memorial# 51827434
Thank you for adding Mattie L. McGehee's maiden name, but her maiden name is spelled LEITNER not Leightner as you have it.

In fact this is the correct information for my Great-Aunt Mattie:
Martha Elizabeth "Mattie" Leitner
born: 20 June 1874 Shiloh/Geiger (Shiloh Farm) Marion County, Florida
died: 1 November 1966, Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida
she married on 4 April 1906 in Marion County, Florida to Sandy Moss McGehee.

Would really appreciate if you could correct the spelling of our family name.

Thank you,
Annabelle Leitner
Shiloh, Marion County, Florida

Mrs. Drew,

I don't see a link to request transfer of this memorial. I'd like to request hers and several others so I'd be very grateful if you can help me find the link to make it happen.

Thank you.

RE: Mayes
Hi, about those Mayes duplicates. You can move your original memorials into the correctly named cemetery, then request that the other person remove their duplicates. If ignored, forward your request to the Find A Grave admins and they will merge. As it is, the multiple Julia Mayes and Stonewall Mayes memorials are located in two different cemeteries. The admins can't merge then because they don't know the correct cemetery to keep the originals. Does that make sense?
