Bio

I have been researching my family tree since 1997. The main surnames that I am related to are: Wolbert, Wolberd, Schippers, Lohman, Butz, Damme, Hays, Roethemeyer, Fox, and Carr.

I will never request ownership of a memorial from someone unless I am related to the person in the memorial. I do have a few memorials though that I have built from abandoned pioneer cemeteries in Otoe County. If you are related to any one of the people who are buried in these cemeteries, PLEASE contact me and I will gladly give you ownership of the memorial.

I am not concerned as to whether or not these people are your mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, etc. That is a "guideline" that Find-A-Grave came up with to help guide people, it's not a law. I'd rather have a relative maintain the memorial, as that's what Find-A-Grave is all about; helping people connect with their deceased relatives, and helping them recognize their relatives' accomplishments. It's not about "owning" memorials.

Find-A-Grave is an excellent tool for genealogical researchers, so please link people to their family members whenever possible. Thank to all who contribute to this site!
