A little about me...I'm a amateur photographer/genealogist/findagraver as well as an extremely proud mommy to six children (3 girls/3boys) and 16 grandchildren! :) I've been working on my own family tree since about 1994...not long after my Grama passed away...she raised me and so I do occasionally refer to her as my Mommy. Family that I am working on are Sanders, Denny/Denney, Cummins, Daglish, McCord, Heater, Galbreath and Lobb. I live with my best friend...my Ed as I call him! and our doggie, Jettie. I found Findagrave while researching our family and have been a die hard "Graver" since!
Update: Married my best friend, My Ed, Oct 3, 2014 and am now officially a "new" person lol
PLEASE If you want to request a transfer or updates to memorials do that through the "edit" tab/suggest a correction!!!! When I have many many many edits/transfers/messages to read and answer it gets frustrating to have to look up the memorials for each request when if done correctly I can just click on the link included with the suggestion/edit...quicker for me to get it done for you :) :)
If someone has an issue with any memorial I am involved with please be polite and adult and send a note through the SAC feature and I'll gladly do whatever I can to make you happy! Leave me a rude hateful message and I'll first delete it and then forget about it. That way I'm returning the favor!
From Find A Grave's FAQ...
"The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it."
I have no problem whatsoever doing any updates or links to my memorials and definitely will transfer if I'm not related and you have a direct connection.
I love being able to link up entire families as far back or forward as possible!!! It's like a big puzzle and I also love puzzles :) It gives me a great feeling to get one done! I always try to find a little information to add to the memorials that I create so that it is more than the mere fact that someone was born and they died. Sometimes I'm unsuccessful but believe me I usually spend some time searching before I give up! Stubborness I guess lol.
If I ever add a picture to a memorial that you would rather I didn't please let me know but I prefer to hear from the "manager" of the memorial.

Could you give me the location of Leven Green Cemetery?
|N J Martin||EMANUEL S RUMMELL|
Memorial# 80563434 he died in Ingalls not in Wayne Co. See death cert on Ancestry.
My dad grew up with the Rummells and so did I. I of course did not know this man. LOL!
Just thought I would tell you on here since I was on instead of sending email.
|Karen Bracey||THANK YOU|
Thank you Colleen for the photo's of Zacharais Bennett's grave marker. I couldn't read any of it, but with a stone that old, that's not a surprise. I'm excited that you even FOUND it!
|Beth||RE: Location of Little Granny|
Thanks for all your work Colleen. I may have finally got a line on where it might be, although I'm still sorting out whether it's one cemetery or two. Once I get it completely sorted I'll let you know. It's sounds like you haven't been there personally. If that's the case, what did you use as your source for the 4 people that are buried there?

I'm poking around Southern Illinois today and tomorrow so any hints you might have about Little Granny, Central Cemetery and Little Cummins Cemetery (not listed on Find A Grave) would be great. Thanks so much!

Thank you for your memorials. We wanted to ask about the tombstone pictures you took at the Levin Green Cemetery in Nelson county, Ky.? Do you recall where it is located.? We have tried to contact Larry Barnes but have not heard back. Should we not be able to access this cemetery, may we use your tombstone pictures to compile a book on the Rev. War soldiers buried here. We are the Nelson County Children of the American Revolution, and a book like this has never been attempted.. Thank you . Pam

Do you have the location of Little Granny Cemetery in Johnson County and is it possible to visit it? I'd love to get photos of the four Cummins grave sites that are there.

Thank you for the recent photo of August 5 of my 2nd great grandfather marker at Patterson Cemetery.

Colleen, as always, your photos are fabulous. Thank you for fulfilling the request I made for a brighter and higher resolution photo of Sarah Judge Wink's gravestone. It's such a shame that it is in such bad shape, but the photo does make it much more readable. I can imagine that you had to sit down in front of it to get the pic. :) So even though you took this and uploaded it in May, it doesn't mean I appreciate it any less. It just means that I'm a lazy bum who didn't get this reply on here until now. Always, Elizabeth
|Mary Ann Bumgarner||RE: Overleese Cemetery in Rush Co., Indiana|
The person that owns the property stubbornly will not sell it. And the cemetery is in worse shape than ever. So sad. I have petitioned the county and state preservationist and local gov'ts but nothing has happened. I can only go in the wintertime as the place is crawling with snakes and trees and stones have fallen over left and right. Needs a lot of repair/love! I will be persistent with the lady, one of us has got to die first! I live in SC and only get up to Indy every year or so...Mary Ann
