Bio and Links
I have been interested in genealogy since I was 16, over 40 years. All of the people I have put in are related to my husband or I, with the exception of the famous people and some related to Iowa history. If you have any additions or corrections or are related to any of these people, please feel free to contact me. If you are more closely related to these people than I, I will be happy to transfer them to you, if they are not in my direct line, many are quite far down on family tree.
I also have listed several families who were killed in the Johnstown, Pennsylvania flood in 1889. All of them I have listed, bodies were never found. If these are part of your family, I will gladly transfer them to someone who knows more about them than I do. Those in cemeteries in Mason County Kentucky are not related to me.

St Paul's
St Paul's Anglican in Hampton, NB, is listed three times for the same cemetery. Can they be merged?

Harrison County memorials
Hello Deena,

You are very welcome for the photograph of Rebecca Marshall Johnson's headstone. I especially like the hunt of locating those old, almost indecipherable monuments. That is actually my reason for contacting you now.

I grew up very near Jenkins Cemetery, where Rebecca Moore Crabtree #86223568 is supposedly buried. I saw your photo request for her awhile ago, but I did not pursue it because I am positive that no readable stone exists in that cemetery for her. I have been there many, many times. I saw that she is listed in Charles Hanna's history as being interred in that location, so I assume the headstone is not legible or there never was a marker for her grave.

I'll continue to investigate though. You don't happen to know where her husband, Gabriel, is interred, do you? That might provide a clue.

I will continue to attempt to fulfill some of your other Harrison County photo requests shortly (I'm a teacher on summer break now!). If you have any more that aren't submitted yet, please do so. I'll check your page for new additions.

P.S. You and I might be distant relatives too (just based on some of the surnames you are researching in Harrison County).

Take care,
Elizabeth

RE: Richard Henry Lee
Too young to be his wife. And the "Catharine" you can see in the name of the mother of this person. I don't have time right now to go back through my photos and find this but it's probably not a relative of Richard Henry Lee.

Florence Adeline Tarney Saunders
Good Morning, we put a photo on today for Florence Saunders in Oakwood Cemetery. I put on Arthur L. also, but did not link them. If this is family, I will be more than happy to transfer. Thanks, Larry

Jane Thompson Baker
Thanks for creating this memorial for my 6th great-grandmother, Jane (Thompson) Baker. Perhaps we are distant cousins...
I have seen her mother given as Margaret Osborne, Ulster, Ireland - but no data behind that connection. Would you happen to have any information?

RE: John Jones
Hi Deena....
Thanks for answer, but I'm not questioning the info on Thomas -- I'm looking for documentation that Thomas is John's father.

John Jones
Hi again Deena!
Thanks for the suggestion of Thomas Jones being father of John. Can you give me source of the info? If it's from the family genealogy you mentioned before, I'd need some type of source of where this info came from. Thanks!

RE: Margaret Jones
This is definitely a line I've been struggling with. My John Jones' wife died before 1870, leaving John with 3 children, who were farmed out upon her death. One or two went to his brother William, which was not a good story. Trying to verify such common names is very hard. There is no record in my family records indicating anything other than a John Jones died in Carlisle at home of Mrs "Simpkins" (actually Sampson). Do you have anything on the Gampher sisters who married John and William?
I think I will make note in bio about Henry being a possible surname, but would want some source document before changing the memorial name.

Margaret Jones
You send an edit suggesting her maiden name was Henry. Please send source of this information so I can verify and update. Thanks!
