( 2013 update) I have been getting some suggestion about how to correctly add information and how I should have inputted my information to my memorials.

Just a little insight as to why they may look different. I started inputting genealogical information & memorials a long long time before FindAGrave became popular(SEE my member since ... date)The resource and the input information forms were much more shorter and very very basic back then. no photos could even be uploaded at the time. No area for maiden names .No marriage dates or links to parents or spouse were available and no one was racing to get the most graves transcribed.I myself sat in a dark room looking through microfilms writing down deaths most of the time on a notepad and imputing the information on a large over sized desk computer.Today I use my phone or Ipad (Times have changed! ) Almost all of my cemeteries contain my husband families and the towns they lived in for generations, and often how they intertwined with other families of the same town. I documented them back then simply in case there were other families doing the same researching as myself at the time. I haven't really added any current graves in a very long time. With the sudden influx of popularity to transcribing cemeteries has made it not necessary for me to do so. SO Yes, I used abbreviations once upon a time! Because at that time there was no input spaces for the information and not because I was lazy. For the most part it was transcribed in proper Genealogical short hand with a slight learning curve, or how the original document listed the information mistakes and all. (which is why in genealogy you track down as many documents as you can because no 2 documents will say the same.)
With that said. I still want to hear from people about making changes and making new links or adding photos. I really do ! But at 44 not only am I limited with my time because I am now a Full time grand mother, I work full time ,and I have been a full time college student for the pass 3 years.Time is often too short for me. Be patient I will make the correction. If you want memorials linked it would help greatly to have have the memorial numbers to be added ready to go! instead of just telling me who the relatives are and having to search for them. TY!!

Thanks for reading my rant!

Wow 2019 brings changes , but the profile still is true..just older , fluffier and hopefully wiser!

Happy Hunting !
