Merged Memorials: In the past year, some people are merging memorials where I have posted grave stone pictures on them and the final result is duplicate pictures. If you see one of these, please let me know and I will delete the excess.
I am starting to go down the alphabet list for Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler, MO to get this done and this project will take some time.

Also, note that some of the merged memorials have a wrong picture on them, also. Folks have already contacted me about this problem. I assure you, that I posted the pictures correctly the first time. One lady told me that this website has a glitch in it as she has experienced the same problem.

Thanks for your understanding.

My family on my Father's side came to Bates County in 1842. My wife's family on her Father's side came to Bates County in 1870. Since 1994, genealogy has been a hobby of mine and a passion to help others seeing the gravestones of their loved ones on this website as many cannot afford to travel here and see them in person. Thus, in order to help burial records be caught up in Bates County and assist our local library in order that they can help seekers,(they use this website quite often), I have worked to completely photograph each cemetery I visit, list the pictures, them post them on said memorials for that particular cemetery. My job is winding down as several others have been diligently taking pictures and posting them. I, and 2 local friends are still going to small cemeteries where nobody is being buried today, documenting the cemetery, and taking pictures of the grave stones for posterity.

PICTURES: Pictures posted on this website are automatically copyrighted. My pictures are free to copy off when you copy off a memorial of your loved one to post in your genealogy book. I just ask that you don't sell them or post on other websites and if you share them, please give me credit for taking it.

Thank you and have fun in your adventure.

Thomas Smith

I have removed my photo and made a new memorial. Check and see if it is the way you like.

RE: Thomas Smith - Oak Hill

Sorry! But I'm confused what you want. Can you come straight to the point and be more precise.

For instance. Move tombstomes photos from memorial 400000000 to 4550000. There's too many Thomas Smiths in Oak Hill. I did take a look at my photos and if you are referring to Jean's memorial of Thomas Smith, as far as I can seen, the tomebstone photos matches the information she has on her memorial.

Please! I need some help.

Cameron you transferred to me a lot of memorials in the Ninety Six cemetery a year or so ago. Jarrott P. Cox is asking me to transfer them to him. I really don't have time to work on them and he has time. Is it okay to transfer those memorials to him or do you want them back?

I looking for a lady named Triplett supposedly buried in Bates County, not sure on the spelling right now don't know given name. I will send more detail when the family gets back with me. Not much to go on but so far I can not find that name in Bates County at all. Thanks Jarrott

RE: Maria Isom
Why would you send me a name change that you knowingly would create a duplicate and the very next day send that or have a certain person send it in as a duplicate to F.A.G.and the very next day Mr. Parker is sending me a message on my messaging about it? seems there are about three people collaborating here to make me look bad. And why would you take credit for the tin foil method that I thought you in the first place. If you would have contacted me first and explained things we would have resolved the matter. But it seems like one tight nit grope is determined to ruin my reputation. I thought you was my friend but I guess I was just being duped all this time.

Ison graves at Oak Hill
It was so good to meet you and put a face to all the hard work you have done.

I appreciate the tip about using aluminum foil to read a deteriorated marking and will pass it on to my DAR chapter (and give you the deserved credit).

Thanks again.

There is a BIG mess re this woman's memorials (yes, there is also a duplicate memorial in the same cem). First of all, your photos for JAMES W. ISON are posted on both of her memorials. You sent me an edit identifying Maria as "my" memorial for James William Ison in Oregon's first wife. The James W. Ison buried at Oak Hill is NOT the James W. Ison buried in Wilbur, Oregon. Haven't researched it, but believe Maria was probably married to the James W. Ison at Oak Hill, NOT the one in Oregon.

Wonder if you would try to straighten this matter out. Someone has really screwed this up.
