My name is Michelle Renee "Shelley" (Latey) Broyles. I am the mother of three children and Oma of three. I graduated from The University of Kansas in May with degrees in Applied Behavioral Science and Psychology. I have been researching my family for 18+ years and put as much time as I can into the hobby. My husband, Dan, jokes that my idea of a good vacation is being in a cemetery, which isn't far from the truth. Everywhere I travel I try to stop and take pictures of cemeteries in hopes that someone will be helped in finding family members. I live in Johnson Co., Kansas, so if I can be of help please contact me and let me know. Happy hunting everyone!|
I get a lot of requests. Please be as patient as you can. I promise I will get to them. I am not hard-nosed as some contributors are and will be happy to transfer memorials if they are in your family lines and not mine (LATEY-FOX or BROYLES-LONG lines). Also, when communicating remember that "you get more with honey than with vinegar." Thank you everyone!
OH, one more thing, I have the sexton records for the Olathe Cemetery up to, I believe, 2006. I have yet to get them all up. I have taken all the photographs of tombstones if there is one. I am still working on getting all of those up. Let me know if you are wondering about someone and I will look them up for you.
PLEASE, IF YOU HAVE A REQUEST FOR A TRANSFER OR MEMORIAL CORRECTION DO IT FROM THE MEMORIAL **DON'T PLACE IT IN MY MESSAGES**
Only leave messages if you are thanking me, or are, or think you are, related. As I go through my messages I delete them, so that I know that I have responded or read them. Please know that I see and appreciate every one of them! :)
**** Sometimes life happens, and it is happening to me right now. I am having some very serious health issues that may result in brain surgery.
Please be as patient as you can. I know some of you have been waiting months for a response. I am not ignoring you. I am starting to work through some 500+ requests now.
I see that some of you have gone through administration, which is fine, but please don't be threatening, or passive aggressive. I am a real person, with real feelings, and with a real life. I am not retired and don't have a lot of time on my hands. I love this work and love you all for the wonderful work you are doing.****

This may be a stretch. My great Grand Father Leopold Feight is buried in Cloud county Kansas in the Mount Calvary cemetery. There is evidence he choked to death at the Exchange hotel in Clyde Kansas in June of 1911 . he was going by Lee I found him in the 1910 census declared as a widower his wife died in 1939 in Iowa Bertha Walts/Waltz Feight. There is a Leo Donald Feight buried there . my conundrum is Lee Feight is buried with a headstone that has a death year of 1910 but there is a Leo Feight buried in an unmarked grave with the correct death year but wrong birth year . I live in Washington state. I think Leo and Lee are the same and when he died the family didn't have the money to bury him for a couple of Weeks. And the headstone was placed later by memory if you could help in any way to solve this I would owe you big time

My name is David and I would like to know if you wouldn't mind in me adding a photo of Lonnie Dee East (Memorial# 9464311 that is attached to the memorial that you created) to my East Family Tree. Lonnie Dee East would been my 3rd cousin 2x removed. I hope you won't mind at all.
Please let me whenever you have the time.
P.S.....You have a website that I wanted to checkout but it seems that there is a problem getting in there. Thought I would let you know.
Could you please transfer Sarah Ellis to me so I can complete her memorial and link her to our family and her family? Thank you.

Memorial is for Isabella Martha "Belle" Ferguson Boon Fergus. She had two husbands but NO children. The child listed belongs to William Boon and his first Wife, Mary Fergus. Would you delete it from her memorial. Thanks for your help.

|Chris Walker||P.A. Moore|
I hope you are doing well physically and that you're able to do the work you enjoy so much. I have a minor name addition for your memorial on "P.A. Moore," at the Union Cemetery in Shawnee. His name was Preston A. Moore, and as his stone indicates, he was a member of Company B, 33rd Indiana Infantry during the Civil War. With his full name on there, it will make it easier for relatives or researchers to find him. Thanks so much!
Dr. Chris Walker
|Fred Loman||You - God bless you and keep you well.|
I have a correction request for you that is very important to me but am setting it aside for the moment.
I am so very moved by your situation and in spite of your extermely serious health issues, just how unselfish you are in your current condition.
I am fast approaching 80 and am continously impressed my the kindness and consideration shown by young folks such as yourself.
I have said a prayer for you this very minute.
Thank you dear young lady for all you've already done and what you continue to do,
John Fredrick Loman
