Just a friend!|
Please understand that I have no control over the names, words and dates engraved on stones, written on death certificates or provided in obituaries. I didn't write them. I'm only providing those previously written words to you.
I have been an active contributor on this site for over 15 years, so yes it stands to reason that I have a fair number of memorials that I have entered, added to and lovingly care take even though they may not be a branch of my own family. It's quite possible that if I had not entered the memorial to begin with, you may not have been able to find them.
Individuals using this site need to realize that we are all volunteers and do not need to deal with abusive behavior or rudeness just because we won't make a transfer to someone who has registered two days or two months ago and want every memorial on the site with the surname of Jones. Or a transfer of a memorial of someone who they think just might be a fifth cousin, four times removed of their third ex-husband.
If you are new to this site, PLEASE read the "Frequently Asked Questions" located "HERE". If you take just a moment to familiarize yourself with these guidelines, it will definitely help yours and everyone else's state of mind, blood pressure and headaches. Just a hint, most people will not respond to your liking when bullying tactics are used.
If you will please use the "Edit" tab located on each memorial, I will be more than happy to correct, edit or add information to a memorial that is meaningful. I will not add all of the information from the past ten census records that have been released or any distasteful or disturbing messages.
Please be kind. We all make mistakes from time to time. If I have made a mistake or created a duplicate memorial later than one you have created, please use the "Edit" tab and send me the correction or let me know of the duplication and it will be taken care of quickly.
I will make transfers using the "Guidelines" if they are not a relative of mine. I will transfer your children, siblings, parents, grandparents or great-grandparents. All other requested transfers will be considered if you use the "Edit" feature and state your relationship or intended need for the memorial.
Lastly and most importantly, there are so many absolutely wonderful people that use Find-A-Grave! I am very appreciative for all of the suggested corrections, additional information and photos that have been provided. Please don't allow the rude, abusive and sometimes rather bizarre behavior of individuals to curb your enthusiasm or your want to help others.

I just wanted to thank you for submitting a spouse edit to my 3x Great Grandparents relationship. I appreciate the time you take for this page and all the people who are remembering family or even people doing their family tree. Thank you!

Thanks so much for the follow up. Is this Partridge name one that you are researching/family? Another question-is this VA information something that is accessible through ancestry or some other website so that I might also research other names?
Best to you, Susan

I've looked on ancestry and am not able to confirm the birth date or name of Terrance as you asked me to add to Lemuel's page. What source? Perhaps family?

Very confusing and we apologize for the error.
We deleted the headstone photo, per your request, for the CC3 memorial.
We created a memorial for the gentleman listed at CC4 and we linked him to his spouse listed on the headstone.
Again, we apologize and hope the gentleman at CC3 is found. We searched thoroughly but we realize it is a very old cemetery. We do feel confident in our search since SAGHS Volume 9 of CC3 shows him not found in the cemetery.
Have a blessed day.

Joan, you sent me a message about adding to a memorial. I am over 78 now and not doing anymore Find A Grave stuff. Let me know if you would like to take over the memorial and I'll transfer it to you.

I have an obit from the Natchez Dem. dated Jan. 4, 2008 for MR. Tillman.......it says buried in the Highland Park Cemetery in Ferriday, La.....yet I do not find him there or anywhere....I was wondering if maybe you were familiar with the area and maybe he just hasn't yet been added...He was the son of Homer Prentiss Tillman and Audrey Ward Tillman (so the obit states)..somebody somewhere may like this info...I don't know this person, was just trying to help....this may be a piece of some ones Ancestry that they may not find without it....

Thank you so much for the beautiful compliment. I don't due this for any other reason but to help others find their family. I loved my journey of finding mine, and the excitement it brought to me every time I found a new piece of the puzzle.
I hope you don't mind that I added the picture to your memorial. I didn't want to step on anyone's toes or offend them in any way. I just want to help!!
Thank You again for being so kind.
