Hello Fellow Find-A-Gravers and ancestry hunters!|
I found Find a grave via doing my family tree on ancestry.com.
I'm from Nelson, New Zealand so if you have a family member buried here or need help with something I can try to help you.
Findagrave site itself is not meant to be offensive it is meant to be there to honour and remember loved ones, please don't think we are out to make anyone unhappy this is just not the case, if you wish to have a memorial removed please contact me in private to discuss.
I am flexible about transfers, and trust that you will take good care of them. To request a transfer, go to the memorial that you want, click the edit tab, and send your request as a suggestion/additional information. Following the FAG procedure will ensure a smooth, accurate transfer. Please also use this tab for requests for corrections and links.

I just want to thank-you for your gravesite Memorials for my second and third cousins, twice removed. I am very grateful. I've just been to visit them. If not for your Memorials for them I might not have known where they were.
Again many thanks!

I have written an article about Edward Fearon, who is buried at what is now the Pioneer Historic Park in Motueka, and have used your photo of his grave as an illustration, along with my transcription of the epitaph. Just checking that you're okay with this. I would also like permission to add the same photo to a shorter version of this artlicle that I'm writng for the Prow history website.
Link to article here so you can check it if you want.

|Tim Reynolds||Grave at Wakapuaka|
You prepared a memorial for Thomas Strahan at the above cemetery, and he is in Block 23, #57. I've just prepared a memorial for Winifred Smith and she's in Block 23, #56. I was really after the grave of Lewis Allen, who's meant to be in Block 23, #58 but there didn't seem to be any room for another plot at the end of that block. Can you throw any light on that for me, please?
Hi Mystik, Please could you transfer the memorial of my ancestor William Byrne #147837042 to me Jus #47985253, many thanks Julia

|Jonty||RE: Andrews family|
Hi - not sure what the rule is. I would be inclined to keep them and add a link to the memorials where they are actually buried perhaps with a note on each saying that it is simply a memorial and that the burial is at xxxx cemetery under memorial number xxxxxxx. Jonty :-)

|Jonty||Andrews family update|
My apologies. Only Michael John and Thomas are at Wakapuaka. Margaret (wife of Michael John) - #143734271 is also at Linwood. Again Southern man has already established a memorial there. Rgds Jonty

Hi - I've sent you an edit letting you know that William Douglass Andrews (#143738848) is buried in Burwood and that he is only memorialised at Wakapuaka. You have a memorial at both cemeteries. Additionally, Anna Douglass Andrews (#143736599) died before the Andrews family came to NZ, so hers is simply a memorial also.
Several of the other Andrews family members are also memorialised at Wakapuaka but are buried at Linwood. Southern man has established memorials at Linwood for them and I have sent him edits to link them to parents - Michael and Margaret - who (along with Thomas) are the only ones at Wakapuaka.
Family members (children) memorialised at Wakapuaka but buried at Linwood are:
Charles George - #143734296
Mary Elizabeth - #143734422
Edith - #143734376
Margaret Dorcas - #143734377
Michael - #143734295
Regards - Jonty :-)

Just a note to thank you for making the changes I requested.
The memorials are all for descendants of Emma Heywood nee Ivall who emigrated to NZ in 1856. An article about her life is at http://ivall.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/Emma%20Heywood%20nee%20Ivall%20%281835-1886%29
