I've been doing ancestry research off & on for the last 15+ years. My research is for my family and my husbands. |
Don't know if my boys will ever appreciate all the work, but I do it for myself. Hope future generations will appreciate it all, enjoy looking back at the photos, and memories of a simpler time.
I won't transfer management of someone that I have taken a photo of and input when they are in my family. If you have info and cannot add to the person, I will gladly add it for you - just ask. Please don't add a duplicate person and ask me to transfer or delete mine.
NOTE: I live in Rock Island which is within a 15 minute drive to any of our adjacent "Quad Cities" (Moline, E. Moline, Silvis, & Milan in Illinois; and Davenport & Bettendorf in Iowa) - yeah I know I listed more than four cities...lol

Was wondering if you could help me. I see you have photo of Jacob Hollatz stone but it is not coming up on find a grave like it should could you share it with me? You have him under Edford cemetery in Henry County IL. there is some confusion on his wife's buried , on Find A Grave she is listed under both Edford and St Johns. There is a stone photo under St Johns. Im trying to prove where she is actually buried as I like my records to be as correct as possible. I take it there is no stone at Edford. Here is a obit or death notice too I found on her so I really think the dates are wrong. in both Find a Grave they have her dieing 7-28-1892 Im wondering if she had a old stone that was replaced and was hard to read???
Mrs. Jacob Hollatz living at the South end of State street, died yesterday. The funeral will be said next Sunday, but the time had not been set at the hour of our going to press.
My email is: Robin59@aeroinc.net

Pamela, You have a grave photo on the memorial of Virgie Lee Lampkin, #59608127, in the Rock Island National Cemetery. Could you please add that same photo to their daughter, Franchon Ruth Lampkin who is linked to the memorial and on the same stone.
|MJ Barrett||thank you|
Just a note to say thank you for what you have done. I recently found out about the find a grave and you helped me link to some relatives we did not have a lot on info. on. The Ewings..

I understand about driving. I don't do well on long trips either -- Something about the movement of the car puts me to sleep too. In my case it may be motion sickness because on boats I go to sleep instead of throwing up -- same thing in airplanes. I too live too far away to drive (about 12 hours by car. My in-laws lived in High Point but they passed away sometime ago as did my parents. So, I have no real reason to go there except for genealogy.
My wife doesn't want me driving alone that far and she doesn't want to sit and wait for me to do the work. Catch 22. Mary Louise Nance Randall was my 1st cousin 2x.

Again, Thank you for your efforts in obtaining this picture. I wonder what happened to Mary's plaque. I see so many of these like this here where the last one to die never gets their name added or they never get the death date added to the stone.

|Sabrina Young||Erdman - Bankie/Behnke connection?|
I was wondering if your Erdman's are in any way related to any Bankie/Behnke's. My great-grandfather Henry Bankie/Behnke had a older half-brother named John Erdman. I was wondering they were possible related. Thanks! Sabrina Young firstname.lastname@example.org

Just wanted to let you know that if you have buried at Edford, Morristown or St Johns cemeteries my cousin and I are putting together a database and collecting obits typing them into the database. If you have obits that you can share with us, type them out with your name at the end as the contributor and we would love to add them.
