Bio Photo I have been doing genealogical research since 1984. I retired from the Air Force in 1994. I recently got my Researcher ID Card for Maine Vital Records. I am a member of the Maine Old Cemeteries Association, the New England Historic Genealogical Society, and the Buckfield Historical Society. I am also Historian and Past Commander of John D. Long Post #58, American Legion, Buckfield, Maine. I am a son of Donald Mackay Cooper and Ruth Marcelyn Hersey.

Lately I have been having difficulty keeping up with edits on findagrave. I have never been a great typist, but I used to be able to type more than ONE WORD PER MINUTE! Like everyone else, I am only human and can make mistakes... but I have caught several edits from novices trying to change correct information to incorrect information. If we don't catch it within 21 days... it gets Accepted automatically. It would be nice if findagrave could add a category for edits "Edits that have been sent to me that were AUTOMATICALLY ACCEPTED"

Tim, I'm a bit late in posting this, but many thanks for sending along the records on subject and his wife Grace. I've added them to my file of historical family records. I'm in your debt. Dick

Leonard T. Tice was born 1835 at Peacham, Vermont, and is credited to Hyde Park, Vermont for service in the 5th Vt. Regt. during the Civil War.
May I use the photo that you contributed to his Find A Grave Memorial, to post on the Vermont Civil War site? (
You may enjoy viewing his page on the site; if you have a chance, take a look.
You will receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.

RE: George Monroe Pinckard, Jr. in Togus National Cemetery
No, nothing on any wife(s), children ... I think the only way I had a lead on him at all was the distinctive family name and a hint on his military record somewhere.

Thanks so much for tracking the photo down ... let me know if you need anything around SF Bay Area.

Thank you so much for your time and effort in getting this photo! I have been documenting his family on the West Coast but George Junior wandered far afield...

Farley Giggey-
Hi Tim,
I have been gleaning from the notes you have on Giggey and Farley families. You asked on one of the memorial pages about a Priscilla Giggey born around 1849. On some documents her name is spelled Priscilla, but I believe it is actually Drusilla. There is a memorial page for her; Find A Grave Memorial 120862821 -Drusilla A Kinney. She married William Zebulon Kinney. I am still trying to find her mother's grave site. I was going by the name Violett Farley Giggey.

Question about James M Farley
I am a relative of James Madison Farley, born 1790 died Aug. 26, 1861 in NB, Canada according to your records. You have him as having Solomon Farley and Mary Gallop as his parents. I have put that info in my records but now I have some family members who tell me that info is not correct. Can you tell me how you came up with that info on him and do you have proof that those are indeed his parents. My family says his father was a John Farley, not Solomon, and that James came directly over from England to Dennysville, Maine. Either you or they have it wrong. Can you help me to figure out who?

Bickfords et al
It is so great to see a Find A Grave site used as much as this one and as up to date! Kudos to Tim. I won't take a lot of time with blabber but come to the point. I am trying to help a Bickford cousin with some research and I found this Find A Grave site. I just finished the 2nd edition of 'My Bickford Family with Allied Families In England And New England' and it is in the Dover, NH library and many others in southern NH and in Maine. Most of the libraries have at least 5 of my books. My families have been in these woods since about 1635 (unless I count my Mayflower Bewsters) and I love to help with searches. Thompson, Bickford, Furber, Hull, Emerson, Burnham, Woodman, and more. For any Bickfords out book was written in collaboration with Bickford cousins in the UK, Australia, Canada and the US. John Bickford b. 1416 in Bovey Tracey, Devon, England is documented. I do not post on and do not tell 'fairy tales'. Holler, if I can help you. phil swan
