Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching my Roots since 1974. My Grandmother Annie Elizabeth Scroggins Huffman told me when I was a child... "Kathy don't forget the ones who came before, if you do, they will be lost." I earnestly try to keep a record of each person's life, in that way they live on in history. The cemeteries of Old Liberty, near Scotland, Van Buren Co., Arkansas, eight generations of my family, Lost Corner, near Cleveland, Conway Co., Arkansas also eight generations, Robertstown, Conway Co., Arkansas, Walnut Grove near Hector, Pope Co., Arkansas, Cedar Creek and Mount Zion on the Pope/Conway Co. Line, Lowes Creek, near Branch, Gage and Crossno, near Etna, Cemetery Ridge, near Webb City, all in Franklin Co., Arkansas, Caulksville, Logan Co., Arkansas, Rock Creek, near Cozahome, Campbell, Scribner, Landis, all in Searcy Co., Arkansas are my family's cemeteries but you'll be able to find me anywhere on this earth creating memorials and leaving flowers for family and friends, Thanks to FindAGrave.

My OBJECTIVE like most of the contributors on FindAGrave is to PRESERVE the HISTORICAL RECORDS of those who came before.

My Home Page "Kathy's Kin" on is updated periodically. Please feel free to use any data from my database that pertains to your family, that's why I post data online, to help folks find their family.
Genealogy is my "Magnificent Obsession".

Wiley Wilson Bost-obituary

“Uncle Wiley” Bost, an aged and highly respected citizen of the county, whose illness was mentioned in last week's communication, died last Tuesday night. Remains were interred in Liberty cemetery Thursday morning, the funeral service being conducted by Rev. J. K. Brandway of Center Ridge. [Clinton newspaper dated Nov 10, 1911.]

Please post this with Wiley's memorial. I tried to send it through Find A Grave and had problems getting it to work.

Emma "Coogan" Mimms Gattis
Hi, I would like to suggest a correction for Emma.

Her maiden name was Emma Arbuckle Mims, daughter of John M.Mims and Elizabeth Mims. She married James Mar Coogan and apparently later married a Gattis.

Thank you for your consideration and maintenance of this memorial

Griffin Family
I am doing research on a family story that has been told to me by my bio dad who I met in 2009, it has also been told to other people in other family's that would be my cousins. The story is this, John Griffin (1805-1891) from northeastern Tennessee killed his brother in law because he beat John's sister nearly to death. He changed his surname to Davis and moved to Knox county, KY. He first shows up in a marriage record in 1843, then in the 1850 US Census as John Davis and we have been Davis ever since.

I can not find anything about his past life. I would imagine he had been married and had left his wife and children behind, maybe not, he certainly left his sister behind. Have you ever heard of this story? Can you point me in the direction in the Griffin family where I might find something? The counties I've been searching are Claiborne, Grainger and Jefferson. I'm not sure if I'm in the right spot even. Thanks so much for anything you can offer. Tina

Borrowing photos
You have photos posted as "added by...(your name)" Photos are mine. I see other's have borrowed my photos as well. Doesn't seems right that anyone can borrow photos and claim them as theirs. I have originals in my possession. I would like to have my name credited for photos.

Caleb Bost
Hi Kathy from Arkansas. I am the 4x great granddaughter of Caleb Bost and I was hoping we could figure out something together! I came across Calebs pension application papers and in it was listed a 19th child not listed on his memorial. I did speak with the person who shared the pension application with me and she stated she had been to the cemetery and see the grave for this son. She had the birth and death dates and name (although the name she provided is not the name listed on the pension). I'm not sure how close you are to he Old Liberty Cemetary but I was wondering if I could share my information and if we could locate the grave and had this final son to his memorial!?
Respectfully, Sara.
