Yes, I do think I remember where it is located. there is a section that is on a hill where children were buried. Most of the stones are laying down laying in the grass. When you take Davis Street, Sacred Heart Dr., into the cemetery follow it until you come to the St. Mary's Dr. North. Swing right, when looking to the right you will see a hill, the children are buried on that hill between section A and B. You can also follow it until you reach Holy Ghost Drive and take a right until you reach Zeyen Dr. This way you don't have to walk up the hill. the children are scattered throughout the hill reaching to the bottom. Good Luck, Cheryl

Hi, IAGENWEB allows you to send in pictures of stones that are, for purposes of clarity, cleaned and chalked (white only). Because I was able to do this I was able to obtain more information from the stone that normal. Cheryl

Could you please write a transcription on this memorial. I am visually impaired and cannot read it.
Thank you.

RE: Austin
I was thinking about this and realized Linwood is an older cemetery. I read that there was a Catholic section to the cemetery in some really old obits. After Mt. Calvary, aka St Mary's, aka Old German cemetery, was created they no longer buried Catholics at Linwood. Cheryl

Charles, I remember the stone vividally and the area, on the slope of a hill, at Linwwod cemetery. It is definitely at Linwood. Cheryl

You and are descendants of Peter McNay. I searched for his military record. Here's the link:

RE: Dubuque cemeteries
Hi,
Thank you so much for your response. I tried the Iowa Gravestone Project with no luck. Another contributor sent me a copy of his obit which gave me all the info I need. I truly appreciate your assistance.

Dubuque cemeteries
Hi...I see that you have created memorials in the Dubuque area and wonder if you can help me. I am looking for a baby: Earl Sylvester Johnston who was born 8/25/1923 in Dubuque and died 2/03/1924 in Dubuque. Official family records say he is buried in Dubuque, Dubuque, Iowa but no name of the cemetery. The rest of the family is buried in Wisconsin so that's no lead. I have searched the cemeteries in Find A Grave database with no results. Do you have any idea where I can look? Is there, maybe, a website that might help or a link that you might know of? I certainly appreciate the work that you do for this site. ~Marcia

P.s...his parents are
Frank Albert Johnston (1890 - 1972)* and Margaret L. McFarland Johnston (1892 - 1955)
