I am very actively pursuing family information. I maintain an Ancestry.com tree, and my brother and I have family photo sites on Smug Mug, where we display the photos we get from family members and kind souls who share on these programs in hopes of preserving and sharing them with all families who need them. It occurred to me when going through my mother and grandmother's huge trunks full of photos that it was sad for one family to have all those treasures and not share. And, so began my many, many hours of scanning and sharing photos and information.|
I also enjoy visiting other memorials and cemetaries and adding flowers, pictures or data to memorials that have no information, or very little. My husband and I walk through cemetaries quite often, and find the headstones so interesting. I love adding to the history of these people, and it grieves me to find one that says "unknown" on a headstone. Genealogy has become a true passion.
My lines are Duncan, Mather, Dodson, Smith, Moore, Bullion, Curtis, Whitehead, Barron, Reid, and you know how that goes - many more! I am happy to share information and photos with those seeking help, and so very much appreciate all that is shared with me.
I live in the Hill Country of Texas, am married, and enjoying retirement. I am a native Texan, and my Ancestors all go back many generations in Texas.
Please feel free to use my information and any photos I have posted. I do not understand the fuss about using someone's photos. If they are sacred and personal, then don't post them, is my philosophy. We are all here to help one another and share for this and future generations. So many photos get lost in fires, animals getting into boxes, etc., so why keep them private? After we are all gone, our grandchildren and gr-grandchildren will someday be searching for images and information, and if I took it with me, they would be left at a loss. There are so many members in my family who suffered fires, floods, tornados, and other losses. But, at one time they DID have a photo of "Great Uncle John", however, now due to some unforseen circumstance, it's lost forever..... Think about it.
God bless and and Happy Trails..

What a nice gesture. I do appreciate your thoughfulness. I can tell you worked hard on this memorial, wish we could find his grave.

Lynda, my name is Myrna Harris Deady, I am the great granddaughter of William James and Susan Sanders Harris 55192790. My grandfather was Obediah Harris, my father, John Mike. There is some incorrect information about William James on both Find A Grave websites. It says on one that Noma M Harris is the author and you on the other. I would like to communicated with the author on several points. I can furnish you with my email if you would rather correspond that way.
Look forward to hearing from you, Myrna
Do you have a their find a grave memorial numbers?
My ch better than just adding a name in the bio
|G Smith||Mack Clay Casbeer|
Lynda can you check on the birth date for Mack. You have 1961 and he was in my class of 1970 so he was born at least 10 years earlier than 1961. thank you,Gayle

Lynda, I was researching the family of Joseph John and Mary Stavinoha Jalufka and found the Find A Grave Memorial for their son Victor Jalufka, # 77517362, which has a note from you that his father is Frank Joseph Jalufka. I was wondering what your source is for that?
