I am a retired veteran and genealogist. I work on Fort Knox so I have opportunities to visit some cemeteries on post and in Hardin County, KY.
If you would like to have a memorial transferred to you, please let me know by using the Edit tab and sending me a note.
I decided to make a virtual cemetery of my teachers and then found out I could not remember who they were - ah, it was so long ago.
I take the time to go to the cemeteries, take and post headstone pictures so family researchers can find their ancestors, so if you use my photographs and post them on any for-profit web sites (ex, Ancestry.com, etc), I would appreciate it if you give me credit.

|Bren||Francis Bird & America Steele|
I just read the note I assume you put on Francis Birds find a grave notes. I am also confused however there were 2 America's in the Hardin County area. One is America Ann Burba who married Thomas Caswell. Then there is America Steele who married Francis Bird. America who married Mr Bird I am not sure had married a Caswell. I think the death certificate is correct because it says her father was a Steel/Steele. He was William Steele who came from North Carolina. He married a Letitia Tucker in NC and her parents moved to Hardin and Larue county areas. Her parents were Anderson Tucker and Nancy Hawkins. Let me know if you find this info. Brenda Steele

|Gene Larkin||Chappell Ridge Cemetery|
I see you took the picture for Chappell Ridge Cemetery on Ft. Knox. I have ancestors buried there and they have a memorial with pictures of their stones already. I would like to visit the cemetery sometime and wonder if it is accessible by vehicle. I understand that I need to coordinate with Arlin Kramer for a time to access. Could you give me the exact coordinates so I can look it up on Google maps? Thank you - Gene Larkin

Thanks so much, James! This document proved two generations!
|Norma Reynolds||Henry Clay Williams|
Thanks for the info on this family. The source for Henry Clay Williams' children and wife is "Hardin County records (certificate of heirship)". Can you tell me where to find this record?

Thank you so very much for taking the photo. It turned out really good.
You didn't by chance find anything on Ina Pearl Hutchison ? She is supposed to be buried in the same cemetery.
Thanks again for a great treasure.

|David McMullen||Robert Louis Thomas (1943-2006)|
Hello! My name is David McMullen. I am looking into my family history, and I have a lot of family from Hardin, Kentucky, namely the Hart family. Right now, I am looking into the line of Nellie F. Hart (1920-1997), and her husband, Louis Mitchell Thomas (1918-1979). I have found information for one son of theirs, Robert Louis Thomas (1943-2006), but my search has stopped there. I was curious to know if you have any information relating to Nellie and Louis' children, or Robert's spouse(s) and children. Thank you!
