Roger & Kimberly Ann Staton Hancock I was born in Clinton county, raised in Boone county, and live in Montgomery county, all Indiana. I have been interested in genealogy for thirty years and have been working on our family tree. Roger, born in Montgomery county and family settled in Fountain county Indiana.|
I clean and restore tombstones. I am the Cemetery Coordinator for the Genealogy Club of Montgomery County, Indiana. Just finished restoring O'Neall cemetery. The Club is currently working on the restoration of the Yountsville cemetery in Montgomery county, Indiana. Started in August of 2011.
Keep in mind, I do not ask for all relatives, only direct within 4 generations to be transferred, it is a shame of those that chose to only get their "numbers" up rather follow the guide lines. Find A Grave rules:
What if a member will not transfer my relative to me?
If the memorial in question is a direct relative within four generations (siblings, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents) to you and the original submitter is not direct family, then they must transfer the memorial
I add memorials just to help others, if you see a family member on here that I have added, please do not hesitate to ask for the transfer, my main concern is to add as many as I can & to help others & to get it right. If you see a family member of mine on here and have an addition please do not hesitate to e-mail me.
My main goal it to clean and restore our Pioneer cemeteries, I have a tri-pod and generator, all the equipment to level, clean, repair, and fix a 1 ton monument, as long as it is not over 8 feet tall. Happy Hunting, Kim

|Doc||RE: RE Lyle Shortz|
Here is the problem, They ran a Crematory there from about 1990 to 1998. The death certificate states that the disposition of His remains were either burial or cremation at resthaven. I have a full copy of the burial records from there and have asked the office to verify that he isn't buried there. His memorial should be cremated location of ashes unknown.

The Resthaven cemetery office has no record of Mr. Shortz being buried there can you advise where you got your information?

Ron or Kim,
While going through the Wright-Bethel cemetery in Waugh. I took a photo of the stone for Orpha Sparrow. Would you mind changing the location on her bio and I will post the photo?
Thanks so much.
Do you know what Dollie's second husband name
would be? I will try to correct my error.
Thank you for writing to me.

Thanks for taking a picture of where she is buried. I have looked for where she was buried for over 5 years off and on. So great find even tho she has no stone. Her first husband was an earp and he was a horse thief and spend 2 terms at least in prison.

Obituary and SS Index both lists her DOB as we have entered. Thank you for your response.
|Bob & Nancy Cannon||Mary Keith/ Drummer Twnshp Cemeter|
Her obituary lists DOB as January 29, 1892. Please send your source for the change you sent. Thank you.
|Jeff Coyle||RE: Fanny Emily Cox Coyle Burial is known|
Thank you for the information on Fanny. She was my gg grandmother but I had very little information on her and have only been learning more through distant relatives. Thank you for the work you do and for taking time to send me these edits. I accepted them tonight so these should post soon.
|Diane Addington||Thank you!|
Thanks for the transfer! YES, I too, rarely ask for a transfer. There is one gal, back before they made the "edits" feature more streamlined, and she would automatically transfer when I sent her links and edits because she said she was too busy to mess with corrections/additions!
Then there are these three or four people that I have requested a transfer, and they are BIG on the numbers game. One man was very rude and sent me a big rant when I politely sent a request. He has the market on Arlington National Cemetery. My hubby and I had driven from Michigan to D.C. to get a photo of the stone of his Aunt Nancy Matherly Anderson as soon as her info was added to the back of, (in the pouring rain, no less), her husband, Jack's stone. Jack was not just a hero to our family, but a real life hero! Anyway, this "contributor", (collector of mems) was a total jerk.
We have all seen it here. As I have said, the majority of people are on here to make this great site better, but there are a few egomaniacs who get a list of those interred in a cemetery, add the minimum info and hoard the mems to get some kind of award for their number of entries. O.K. I am off my soapbox!
Thanks again to you for ALL you do! DAM
