Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing family research since the late 1970's. I have been associated with the Jefferson County (KS) Genealogical Society, being the organizing President and since served in that capacity two more times. I live in Winchester, Kansas. My wife, Marie and I have been married 65 years. We have four living children, 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. My family research interests are many, but especially Riley, Nettleton, Curry and Fulton. We have many ancestors buried in Atchison and Jefferson Counties, Kansas. In addition, I have served the United Methodist Church as organist for the past 60 years and have served the Winchester and Jefferson County North Schools as statistician for over 65 years. I was the Director of the Winchester Public Library at the time the present building was constructed in 2002.

Please contact me if you find a direct relative's memorial I manage, and would like to have the memorial transferred. Please include your Find a Grave ID # with any requests. If you find any errors or wish to have me add additional information to a memorial, please let me know.

Etta Williams Benton, 113809106
I have updated the pages for Etta and her husband, Edward Taylor Benton, in Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka, and have sent copies of the pages to the cemetery office for their files.
I also located their son, Edward Maxwell Benton, buried in Texas, and sent links to his page.

Thank you for the links you sent.

Wempes in Nemaha County
I added your edits for the Wempes in Nemaha County. If you are more closely connected to the these families, let me know and I will transfer. I am connected through an aunt and studied what had happened to some of her descendants.

trying to make corrections
Frank B. Reid, memorial # 94332213, is my uncle. Would you please transfer his info to me so I can make changes?

Fredrick C. Hahn
According to some sources, C. may be his first name (Cirasus). I'd use my middle name too. On his passport, it lists his birth day as 24 December 1829, so either the passport is wrong, or the gravestone is. Here is the ancestry site:

Of course there's always the possibility that this isn't the same Fredrick C. Hahn, but what can you do?

Thank you for submitting her obituary. I am not related, but I always appreciate submission of obituaries. I feel like it brings a memorial to life, so to speak.
