Specializing in the family of 1717 Germanna Colonist Nicholas Yager (b. 1678 in Germany) since 1989, I have been blessed with the input of countless kind Yeager relatives from all over the country, such as the late Carroll Yeager Thomas and Jane Warren Waller ("Lincoln County, TN, Pioneers"). |
With their help my first publication in 1994 was a loose-leaf book about my ggf: "The Family of Daniel Wayne Yeager, 1835-1910," which included input from subscribers to my newsletter of the same name, pub. 1993-1994 (now in the Clayton Genealogical Library, Houston, TX).
In 2002 my work on identifying Daniel's grandparents John Yager and wife Ann "Nancy" Render, was published in John Blankenbaker's respected journal "Beyond Germanna."
The following year I presented my finds on "Yagers Named John" in a seminar at the Germanna Memorial Foundation annual reunion.
In 2004 after more extensive research in Virginia and South Carolina courthouses, libraries, and graveyards, I privately published the softcover book "Following John: Documenting the Identity and Path of John Yager, born 25 Nov 1750, in Culpeper County, Virginia."
In 2010, I assisted Cathi Clore Frost in research for Germanna Record #19, "The Yager Family, the First Five Generations," and wrote the introduction for that informative tome.
In 2011 and 2012 the Germanna Research Group (ed. Virginia Rhodes Nuta) in its online "Journal" presented my 2-part research article, "Follow the Money, Honey." This 80-page piece influenced the DAR to change their records on the identity of John (1750-1816,) son of Michael (1728-1794). It can be found at the LIBRARY OF VIRGINIA in their Archives Room, Personal Papers, Call Number 51421.
I am list administrator for the Rootsweb mailing list YEAGER-SOUTH-US, have attended many sessions at the National Genealogical Society's annual conferences, and completed the week-long course on "Virginia, Her Records & Her Laws," at Samford University, Birmingham, AL, led by Barbara Vines Little, co-sponsored by the Board for Certification of Genealogists and the Institute of Genealogy and Historical Research (2009).
Because I have accumulated quite a few published Yeager family histories, I am working on a new publication entitled "Corrections to Published Works on Germanna Yagers." This includes my own flawed work!! (New information keeps coming in.)

|HJ Wilkins||Capt. Wm L. Yager|
I found a newspaper article about Capt. Wm L. Yager who died Nov. 26, 1900. Please send me your email address and I'll send you the copy I have, if you want it. Thanks
|Kendra Shelly-Bradford||Lewis Yager|
Thank you so much for all of the info you posted on Lewis Yager. You have helped me prove my lineage to the Revolution and now I'll be able to join the Daughters of the American Revolution! Thank you for taking the time to post so much of our ancestral info!
I actually sent you an email prior to reading your bio. Exciting! I'm glad to see I got the line correct. Haha! Fascinating piece of history.

Been having a lot of health issues along with my eyesight problems, so I have not gotten anything completed on the community.
|William Houston||Samuel Yates|
Dear Mrs. Johnson,
Can you please contact me at email@example.com re your GG Grandfather Samuel Yates. I am researching the Polk family and would like to discuss his wife Rebecca with you.
Thank you for your consideration.
These middle names used as names on "rocks" are my bane.
Deleted Louise so Annie Louise now rules the kingdom of Perkins.
I didn't even "check the dates." I don't do that. As long as ancestors are documented.
Keep up the good work.

|Bobbie Mabry Graue||Rev. Yeager|
I just saw the photos and bio that you did for Rev. Yeager and it was really good! I had contact with you and transferred this memorial to you and I was really happy to see the photos and information. Would you happen to know the years that he was at Coalville by any chance?
I have been working with the Ocean Springs historian about writing the Woolmarket Community History and would like to include your bio and photos if that would be possible?
Thanks for doing this memorial justice.
|Frank Pepper||You're welcome|
"Thanks for finding the links to the parents of John Edward Dabbs. I have today added them to his memorial." - You're welcome!
