RE: Thmas & Elizabeth Wilson Britton
Thomas Britain and Elizabeth Wilson were without-a-doubt the parents of our John Britain-Britten.

Does this mean they are not your ancestors? No.

Although it does look like your ancestor was related to Thomas, I have not taken the time to research your surname through the auDNA-surname matches. There are, however, nine Lathams who are related to us (unfortunately only four are on GedMatch).

If you ever do an autosomal test, please let me know. FTDNA Family Finder provides discounted coupons (which would be available on the yDNA Latham website). I'm sure the other testing companies also provide discounts. If haven't tested already and you do decide to be bold and test, yet can't find a coupon, let me know and I'll ask around.

Take care,

William Hugh Carson 1819-1878
William and Elmire rose Carroll Carson markers were placed in the Double springs cemetary by my husbands uncle, Pete Russell. He stated in a book that Elmire rose Carroll Carson was buried in the popular springs (colored) cemetary near pleasant grove because she as indian (dark skinned). We do not know why he picked double springs as her resting place. I see that you posted something on William Hugh Carson,so I was hoping you may have more information on William or Elmire rose Carson. Thanks

I see you have an extensive knowledge of the Charles Mann family from Mississippi. Are you related to this family?
Thank you.

Mark sanders womack's children.
Mark Sanders and Elzabeth H. Avent had another son, George Womack born in 1833 and died during the Civil War in 1862. His papers stating his death are on line and his grave is at Mount Pleasant in Webster County. He was married to a Hunter and had a daughter. He is on the 1850, Choctaw, Co. MS Census, living with his brother Thomas Womack. Mary was listed with her sister Caroline England, but birth date is off, since she was born in 1834. I don't see how Elizabeth can be buried at Hohenlinden, when Mark was lviing in Georgia in the year of 1839, when his daughter was born. He has a son born in MS in 1841. I have read that he moved to MS in 1839. A Territorial census has him in MS in 1840 or 1841. If you find this correct, you might want to add to your memorials.

Hi William,
I was just doing some research on another name in Hooper Cemetery in Fruithurst, AL and I notice that this Hooper is the same as #14241866 which was added in 2006.
