I am an Air Force veteran and got started crawling around cemeteries as a member of The American Legion, placing American Flags on the grave markers of departed veterans. I will always stop and place a flag on the grave of every veteran I pass by. Rest in Peace, GI.|

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! You can just delete it. I'm getting closer to thinking that this memorial https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=20149051 is him, so there doesn't need to be another one.

Thank you Dave, I really appreciate it! It's wonderful to see these men honored and their memories and family connections passed along through history. Samuel's sister, Mary Louisa Marshbourne Wilder, is my great-great grandmother. I can't imagine what is was like for these Civil War families to lose so many of their dear young men. Being from North Carolina, and researching ancestry, I find that every single family was affected deeply by this war. I moved to Texas at age 21 and married a Texan, but as I research my husband's side, it's amazing how I can't find anyone except for 1 young man that fought in the war. They're all from Iowa, Illinois, Colorado, and even northeastern states, but I still see no sacrifices in the families, whereas North Carolina losses are everywhere! I've been looking hard online to find the graves of their parents, which would allow us to hyperlink all the siblings, but unable to locate them. I'm going to Raleigh for a week next month, and my mother and I are going downtown to research everything we can. Thanks again, your work is a blessing!

I am familier with Flat Creek Cemetery in Fayetteville, GA but I would like to know how to find the Phillips Family Cemetery from there.
Can anyone help direct me? I have have several relatives at both cemeteries.
|Marshall and Mary McIntyre||Leslie Turner|
David, when we went to the cemetery, we had the wrong coordinates for Leslie Turner (at Lorraine American Cemetery)- we had Grave 35, and he is in Grave 5. So, he was not photographed last weekend. However, we plan to go back either this weekend or the one after that, and we will be sure to get his marker photo then. -Mary

David, we have taken pictures of all but a few of the newer photos that were requested- it just takes a long time to upload them since our internet is slow! We'll get those photos up just as soon as we can! And you are very welcome, it's our pleasure to help! :) -Mary

You are so welcome. Yes, there are a lot of Kucera's around. I kind of stumbled upon them when I was in that cemetery. Glad they helped.
