Bio Photo In the last few years, I have been creating memorials for my family, as I discover where they are buried. This is still an on going project.

Find a Grave has implemented a new way to submit Edits! Unfortunately, there are far too many members for Find a Grave to notify everyone via email, so it's up to us to get the word out. If every member posts this message (or similar) in their profile, hopefully we can help spread the word.To suggest a correction (SAC) click on the edit tab of the memorial that needs to be corrected. Then click on the link which best describes where your edit should occur. Enter your correction, when you're done, click submit edit. Your request will be sent to the manager of the memorial and will appear in the managers' profile under the Edits tab.Managers will no longer receive emails. They must go directly to their profile page and click on the Edits tab. Managers can approve, deny or ignore, suggested corrections. It's quick and easy! The exception:Requesting a transfer other corrections are still handled the same way. Click on "suggest any other correction or addition," type your message and press "send this message." The manager of the memorial will receive an email.

In Aug 2011, I transcribed The Bay City IOOF Cemetery. I have created a spreadsheet of this Cemetery, taken photos of all of the headstones and put this information on FindaGrave. I have tried to research something about the person and link them with their family members.I have completed photographing all of the headstones at the Fairview Pioneer Cemetery. I have also received from the Tillamook Pioneer Museum a listing of all of the graves that are in This Cemetery, along with a map. It is quite a small cemetery and it is quite overgrown, there are not many headstones left that are readable.

Thank you so much for letting me know where this gentleman was really buried. The person who had the other memorial was kind enough to remove it without my asking AND posted their picture of Mr Litzenberger's marker on my memorial. Thanks again for your thoughtfulness.

The source for the other obituary was the "True Republican" newspaper at Sycamore, IL. It was part of the Kingston News Column and was printed on July 26, 1919. Oscar had a sister, Mila Ann Lucas (1834-1863) who married Charles David Gibbs in 1861. After her death he was married 10 years later in 1873 to Amanda Bacon (a sister of my great great grandfather. Mila, Amanda and Charles are also buried at Blood's Point cemetery. Charles was a son of Willard Gibbs and Patience Main who came to Illinois in 1845 from Otsego Co., N.Y. His parents and maternal grandmother are also buried at Blood's Point. Thank You very much for making those corrections. B.T. W. Charles Gibbs was killed in a house moving accident in 1878. Amanda was pregnant with their 2nd son, who she named Charles Willard Gibbs for his father and grandfather. The house belonged to his cousin, Ami S. Gibbs who was married to Mila Jane Bacon, a niece of his 2nd wife, Amanda.
