I began this Genealogy "hobby" back in 1994 or so, and spent the next 8-9 years researching my family (Mostly in Chesterfield County, Virginia - and its surrounding counties). I have always found 'walking around' in cemeteries peaceful and informative, so I've started bringing my camera along to add records to Find-A-Grave. Like everyone else, I may very well key in entries wrong from time to time (as in, Trouble reading the marker), so IF you see a mistake - or have more info on the deceased (Like full/missing Maiden Names, bios, etc), please use the "EDIT" feature on a memorial if you have additional info or corrections about anyone I have listed (Please Don't Leave Info In The Virtual Flowers). |
If you're a close family member & would like one of the memorials I've created transferred to you within the FAG guidelines (with the exception of my family members), please let me know by using the "Suggest A Correction" feature from the memorial. Due to some unusual requests, please let me know your relationship to the person you are requesting a transfer. A Generic "Transfer this Memorial to me" will be not be honored. Also, If you request a transfer, Please Include your FindAGrave ID#.
If my work has helped your Genealogical Research in any way, please visit my dadís and momís memorials, and place a Virtual Flower out there for them. I would appreciate it.
Thanks a lot!

I forgot to mention the cemetery. It is Maury Cemetery for Edwin Cheatham. Is he there? I don't see his name but a lot Of Cheatham there made me pretty sure he is buried there. He was living in Manchester Virginia at that time in 1800's.
|Jones_Family||Question: Edwin Cheatham|
Is there a Edwin Cheatham buried there? He used to live in Manchester, VA after he attended the Deaf School at the Masonic Lodge No. 14.
Secondly, can you locate the headstone with masonic lodge symbol on it- that is John Braidwood's grave. I would like to see if you can submit photos of both if they are there.
I believe John Braidwood is there with the masonic lodge symbol as he was moved from the Masonic Lodge No. 14 before the first building was destroyed. He passed away circa October 1820.

Thank you for posting my beloved Great-Uncle & Aunt's biopages. I had no idea these were online as daughter Marsh wouldn't have wanted them to be, so I didn't post them in '05, '06.
But, since they do exist, would you be so kind as to transfer both to me?
Laura was the youngest of her family; my mother, daughter of an older sister of Laura, was her name sake.

Thank you very much for adding the bio note.

Really appreciate your quick response to my info edits for both Claude and his wife Mary! As a Find-a-grave contributor myself, I know how busy our "hobby" can be...and how rewarding. Thanks!

Thank you for permission to use your photo. If I had known at that moment I would have asked if I could use other photos that you have taken for my Ancestry and familysearch accounts.
Thank you again. If this is possible, I will always give you credit for your work. I'm so grateful for your help in preserving our heritage.

Would you mind if I use your photo of the tombstone for Rudolph Buell Sadler on my Ancestry and Family Search sites? I will make sure that you are given credit for the photo.
